Any tips on how to lose 5 lbs... and quick?

Recommended Posts

I met with the psychologist two weeks ago and found that I hit my preop diet goal but when I told him that I was getting married within the next week he advised to hold off on my caseworker appointment to focus on the wedding.

Well the wedding is done with (it's been two weeks) and all the festivities left me with 5lbs (225 lbs) :( I'm gonna start logging my food again and drink plenty of Water but I feel like the stress from the wedding and family has been holding me back from doing the deed in the latrine. I've been drinking coffee (natural laxatives) but that ain't doing much.

Any tips on how to lose 5 lbs... and quick?

Google "cut weight like a wrestler". Keep in mind I feel like I have to put the disclaimer that this isn't healthy, but wrestlers and pro fighters who are already lean and generally in shape drop 5,10, sometimes 20 pounds a few days before a fight or a match and then put it right back on after weigh-ins. If you only need to lose 5 pounds, you can easily cut that in 1-2 days, go weigh in, then as soon as that is done, start drinking fluids. Again, this isn't a long term solution, but it gets done what you need to get done before important weigh-ins.

I ate a bunch of prunes to help me "go". Drinking a few Protein shakes in place of meals may also help. I like Premier Protein. Avoid sugar. Go for a walk.

Its really not a huge deal that you gained over your wedding. That's normal. I gained a few pounds over the holidays and the doctor wasn't upset at all. He said that I still gained less than most "normal" people do over the holidays.

Make it a point to do better everyday and it will come back off.

So do you need to poo or you just want to lose the 5lbs you gained for your wedding? If it's poo, then just take a laxative, Smooth Move tea, ducolax, prunes, etc.... Eat really low cal, maybe 2 Protein Shakes and a light salad w/ Protein for dinner. Otherwise, just wait and let it come off with the surgery.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
