Anyone whose goal weight is less than 100 pounds?

Recommended Posts

My goal is 90 lbs if I ever get sleeved! That's lbs to lose, not my goal weight.

Well, some people set their weight goals a lot lower than mine. I am sticking to the goal that my nutritionist set for me, though I still have kind of a secret hope of getting to 10 pounds lower than that so I can fall in the "healthy" BMI range. At my nutritionist's goal of 165, I will still technically be overweight. Also, I carry all my weight in my hips and thighs, so while I'm in a size 14 pants still, I'm now in a size 10 dress and medium shirts.

That's true they do. I wasn't given a goal weight by my nutritionist, nor my surgeon. There's no pressure of a set goal thank goodness, just encouragement to reach personal goals. I carry my weight evenly, I've just got an hour glass and I'm hippy. I can't change that, even without fat on those hips lol. I've got a goal weight personally that's right in the BMI spectrum for my height, as I have specific goals with my life after this and I need to be that weight. I'm sure it'll all work out. My body is weird, I'm excited to see where it goes next.

It took me a bit over 6 months to lose 100 pounds (278 to 177) - sept 12, 2013 to March 18, 2014. That wasn't my goal though. My goal was 145 and that was -133 pounds and took a bit over 10 months (sept 12, 2013 to July 23, 2014). Then I realized I was still losing pretty easily so I kept going and reached me "dream goal weight" of 125 (-154) and that took about 20 months and was relatively recently. I don't want to lose anymore. I'm just looking to maintain at this point. Good luck to you!

hey Livvsmum, if you don't mind can you give me some details on your weight loss process. You seemed to lose really quickly. What did you do? How many calories/ carbs were you eating? How often did you exercise? My goal weight is 120. I am only 3.5 weeks from surgery and have already hit a stall. I am staying steady at 209.4. I eat about 450-550 calories per day, and between 30-40g carbs per day and 50-70g of Protein. I also work out at the gym 3-4 days per week, and hike with my dog 1-2 days a week. I feel like I should be losing more weight. I wonder if I am doing something wrong. I really would like to hit my goal weight within a year. Can you please share with me what you did? Also I would love to hear from other people as well, all advice is welcome. Thank you guys!!!

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
