You have to be really really active to burn that many. If I exercise intensely for 2 hours and am running around all day with errands I usually burn about 4,000 calories.

Renewedhope,

I am soooo glad you found your Bugg. I don't have one but I sure know how much they cost and hated that you thought you'd lost yours. I was praying for you girl.

You all sure do inspire me to get the Bodybugg. I have been trying to decide if I'm going to get it, the Actitrainer, or nothing.

Hey Jackie,

I'm a teacher and my classroom is on the third floor, so I walk up and down the stairs all day. On my plan periods, I walk around the building sometimes so I make sure I burn at least 2000 or so before I get home. My husband and I walk anywhere from 1 to 1 1/2 miles per day, so that has helped ALOT. I also wear the bugg to sleep where I suprisingly burn around 400 calories sometimes. I make sure I have my burned calories in before I go to bed though. It's been raining here where I live so we havent walked in a couple days.

Hope this helps you and myself for that matter.:frown:

JDUB0414,

When was the last time you updated your weight? 2003 calorie deficit equals 2 pounds lost "theoretically" right? You are consistently under. Are you seeing the pounds drop as you deficit indicates they should.

Any of you can answer this question. I'm still on the fence about my bug and still learning my band, adapting new fitness habits, and learning what I should reasonably expect to loose.

Godshelp,

You actually have to burn off 3500 calories to equal 1 pound. So that means that "theoretically" JDUB with a 2000 calorie/day deficit will lose 2 pounds every 4 days or so.

My Bodybugg arrived yesterday; I'm going to install Parallels and Windows on my iMac today so that I can get going with this. I remember reading that some of youse guys were working the Mac/Bugg combination: any tips for somone just starting out on this? Do the Mac and the Bugg play well together when you're running a Windows OS virtually?

Thanks!

F.

Yep that's about right. This is going on my third weeks. I have it set 3.75 lbs per week. The first week was awesome. last week wasnt that great. I believe it was Water weight, cuz I weighed myself the day after my weigh in date and I dropped the 4lbs I was looking for. I'll know what I did this week on Saturday. I havent been working out this week, so I dont know what it will be.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
