Have you been taking your vitamins? Have you had you Dr check your blood counts?

I am right there with u! Same about of time and sane job! I feel like I got ran over every day!

Idk, I'm 6 months out and I still need a nap.

I am 3 months out and have loads of energey. Are you drinking and eating enough? I know as a hairdresser you cannot eat at your station. I eat every 2 hours (small amounts).

Keep a log of what you eat daily, per my dietician, we should be consuming 1200 calories daily......are you?

What about exercise, I know it is probably not thought of after a day on your feet, but even just 20 minutes would/may help.

I take my vitamins everyday, get enough protein, no way could I even get close to 1200 calories... 900 the most, I drink all day long.. Unjust got my blood done yesterday and see my surgeon on Monday.. Hope all is well!! Thank you all

I had the same problem. I would read on here how people had so much energy! and think to myself something must be wrong. But there are plenty of people like us, too.

I never did get a noticeable jump in energy, because it was a gradual improvement. Then one day at about 7 or 8 months, I realized how much energy I did have. It wasn't sudden at all. I think that time coincided with a significant weight loss and a slight increase in calories. I have a theory that even though I was not hungry, and I didn't get the other physical symptoms of hunger such as shaking, I still was weak and tired to the super low calorie intake.

So that's a long winded answer to say it's normal, and you will eventually get more energy back than you had before your surgery. Just take care of yourself and be patient.

Three things that I can think of would be iron anemia, vitamin B12 anemia (our stomach changes may inhibit B12 absorption) or hypoglycemia from the low carb diets that we are on to varying degrees. Hopefully your labs will point you in the right direction.
