Hi there!!!!

Can you help me out a little on this site? I find it difficult to navigate. How can you see the most recent posts first?

Hello My Friend,

How are you? I do both boards. I try to stay out of the drama there. It gets sooooo deep. It's been bad lately. I have my polls here that I like. I also like the Shrinking Violets post here. It is for April 2007 banders. I like it because we are all in around the same spot in our journey. Here's that link. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f17/shrinking-violets-april-07-bandsters-29472/

The posts naturally show up as most recent first (I think). There is a key to the icons at the bottom of each post. I also like how they have similar posts at the bottom. Good to see you here!

I haven't reached my sweet spot, so I can' t vote. I am hoping I will get there

tomorrow, with my new fill.

I feel a wonderful restriction now at .8ccs. It would be GREAT if I can keep it that way, but I realize I'll probably need another fill as the weight is lost. It's nice knowing I have a lot of room for fills though :)

I just got more last Wed. and I am at 2.5 right now. I don't think I could handle anymore. In the morning, it's very difficult to drink Water. I have to sip it slowly. I haven't had any trouble eating, but I am not hungry at all anymore. YAY!

I dont really know how to vote - I have 2.5 cc in mine and I can still eat bread and quite a lot for a bandster yet I am below my goal weight, so who knows?

I suspect I'd need to be over 3cc though. I dont really want to get to any "sweet spot" since I tend to think that what other people describe as just right is way too tight. I like living a "normal" lifetyle and have made up t he difference with exercise.

Iwould like to know how someone with good restriction takes their Vitamins

and medications? Since my last fill, I am really having trouble getting these things down. I take a lot of stuff and I need it all. The only thing I know I can do chewable is the multi Vitamin and I think there is liquid Calcium.< /p>

I take 2 chewable flintstone vitamins(with Iron kind) a day since surgery.. And for Calcium, when released from hospital they told me not to take my calcium and no one ever told me to resume so I haven't yet.. but Viactiv makes chocolate chew calciums.. like a little piece of chewy chocolate.. you can also take Tums I believe (in the antacid area). They make the crunchy tablets, and some of them are quite good!

I have a very tight fill right now. It's 2.8 in a 4 cc band. I can only eat liquids until noon. I cannot eat any carbs or I pb. I LOOOOOVE it!!! The weight is coming off and I'm not stuffing my face with any junk.

Haven't reached my 'sweet spot' yet and I have 1.6cc in a 4cc band. I feel no restriction at all, actually. BTW,,I take Calcium Caltrate 600 Vit D, chewable, ,,as well as my multivit and Biotin,,both also chewable.

How about 5.8cc. Has anyone received MORE than 4cc in their 4cc band besides me? My doc is not concerned, but I am. Let me know if there is anyone out there in my situation please. I had my last fill 1 week ago. The only problem I'm having since then is reflux a night. Other than that I'm eating and drinking guardedly just fine. This is the first time ever I've been woken up with gastric Fluid coming up in my throat several times a night. Zantac helps with the acid part of it, but I don't like this at all.

Thanks,

Freeradical

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
