March 2015 Surgery!

Recommended Posts

How's everyone doing? I'm down to 173 now. Officially down 81 lbs from my starting weight. All is good here. No issues at all really. I still haven't been hungry since surgery which is wonderful. Weight loss has decreased quite a bit since I hit 6 months post op. Still super happy! :)

I lost a total of 114lbs. I'm still having hard time with food. Done many test but nothing show. Doctor whats me to eat more and gain weight. I'm feeling a little better since I stop Protein Shakes and bars, and stop calculating all my food. I was getting very fixated and worry about getting my weight back. Here is a pic of me now. Doing good here. Haven't seen much weight loss in the past couple months but I'm still happy. I have bought more bras over the past year than I imagined. It's like I'm going once a month to get a smaller one. Honestly that makes me happy too. :)

The weather here has been so mild this winter that I've spent most of my time skipping the gym and going outside to exercise instead.

How is everyone else doing?

Hi! I've lost 95 lbs and I have to lose another 23. In the last couple of months I noticed that the loss is soooo slow, but it's still working and I'm quite happy with my results so far. I feel really well, lighter and capable of everything. My life quality has improved a lot and I'm so happy to be able to do a lot of things that I couldn't before. This surgery was the best decision ever!

The loss is definitely slower.. I'm losing about 5 pounds a month now, for the past couple. I'm ok with that, as long as I still keep losing. I'm down 120 overall, and about 116-117 since surgery. I have about 37 pounds to reach my personal goal. One more month for our year surgiversary!

I'm seeing slower weight loss also. But it's still steady. I'm down 93 pounds with 37 more to go till I hit my personal goal. Glad to see everyone doing so good!!

Hi everyone! I'm doing great, I guess I shouldn't be fixated on a number considering if I stayed the weight I am right now forever I'd be ecstatic! I say I'd like to be 150 but then 15 more pounds means a little saggier skin and I'm really looking good right now. I guess I'll just not think about it and see what happens naturally. My doctor wanted me to get to 160 so there ya go.

I did have plastic surgery on Dec 1st. I had my eyelids done and a brow lift. I've wanted to do that forever and also I had to fill out my now non existent breasts!! So, I had implants put in. I'm really pleased with how everything turned out. I think the only other surgery I will do is an arm lift. Legs aren't that cute either but I don't want the long scar down my thigh. My arms bug me more so they will have to go.

I have found that I have began to drink red wine quite frequently and I'm a little nervous about that. I have read about patients that turn to alcohol after this surgery. Anyone else drinking a little more than they did before? Not a lot but I didn't used to drink a glass of wine every night. I know they say a glass of red wine is good for the heart but I don't want to become dependent on anything.

Hope everyone is doing awesome and we are going to love this summer in our new thinner bodies!

Doing good. I'm little underweight but overall I'm ok. Family thinks I'm too thin but I actually like it. My energy level it's low. Start 210 now between 116/117 it's slowing down but still going down.

My date is March 10. I'm a revision from lapband. It was removed Feb 5th and I've been on liquids since Jan 23rd (with a few slips on that). My height is 5' 4". HW 337. CW 304 I'm hoping my surgery weight will be 290 but I'm worried I won't get there by my surgery date. :-(

It's inspiring to see all of these stories of you folks a year out!!! Thanks for sharing!

I totally understand the transfer addiction worry. I myself for a little while was having a glass or two of wine before bed. But I caught myself and stopped. I only have a glass now when we are out with friends. Looks like everyone is I doing great!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
