Had my surgery on Wednesday. Also had my gall bladder out. I was not prepared for the back pain. Not sure if it was laying on that operating table or the gas build up but my back hurt so bad and had a hard time getting comfortable because obviously you can't lay on your stomach so the back took a beating. Stayed in the hospital one night and am home now. Finally feeling able to get up and move around. Don't really want anything other then Water. When my kids had dinner the smell of it made me nauseous. The pain medicine is hard to get down too because it is cherry flavored and just way too sweet for my liking. Otherwise I am happy to say I'm finally feeling a little more like myself. So excited about this new chapter in my life. I feel like its a whole new beginning. My family has been very supportive. I have two teenage son's and a 7 year old daughter who have been very helpful as I have been recovering, and my husband has been like my own personal nurse helping me shower and change bandages. I feel very blessed. Good luck to everyone else pre and post surgery on your journey's.

Welcome to the loser's bench! No lie, the next few days (weeks?) are going to be rough, but you WILL get through and you WILL feel normal again.

Mine also was 2/4 but I had the revision from band to sleeve. I'm a single mom and my son is doing a semester abroad so I'm caring myself. It hurts when I get in or out of bed, when I cough or sneeze. I'm already getting sick of the liquids and now hunkered in the house for the next couple of days as a blizzard is starting.

I hear you on the coughing, it is not easy! The pain is finally subsided still have some gas pains though. I'm feeling pretty good, haven't been hungry and have been able to sip Water all day. Also still sleeping on the couch, just feels more comfortable. Follow up appointment is on Thursday then I start the Vitamin regimen. Excite to see the scale go lower and lower. Lost 19 on pre-op diet and 5 since surgery.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
