@MaryC94. Surgeons are all so different in their requirements for diets I am not surprised they have different pre-op tests ordered. Unless you have a specific concern I wouldn't worry about it, I'm sure they are required by different insurance companies to meet different criteria. Good luck!

When I started the first time they wanted me to do sleep studies, arterial blood gas tests, cardiac consult, all kinds of xrays and scans. This time it was just minimum surgical preop. I think because my first one was a teaching hospital they get grant money for all kinds of data for long term studies. This time I'm in a private hospital.

Well, just had my last protein shake and now its on to this...1 at 7 tonight, another at 10 tonight and the last at 5:30 tomorrow morning. Check in at 8 and surgery at 9:30am. I'm quite pumped and so far am pleased with the 35 pound of total weight loss thus far. Just wanted to let you all know....YOU GOT THIS!

I am not even allowed to drink Water 12 hours before the surgery!

They told me yesterday to bathe in dial soap up to two days before surgery and the morning of. She said no perfumes and stuff. My question is this. Does that mean deodorant, face cream, shampoo, and chipped toe nail polish? She talked fast lol

My surgeon says deodorant is ok. No face cream, no nail polish. Completely free of everything.

After you shampoo and condition then bathe in the dial soap so that it's the last thing on your body. My surgeons office actually gave us special packets of soap to bathe with the night before and morning of.
