  • Hi Everyone. I apologize I have not been on. I had my surgery on Monday and had my IV's in for my liquids and pain meds. Day 2 was rough for me. I could not handle sips of water or oral pain meds. Eve

My daughter turns 21 tomorrow and up this point, it has been all about her. So, I decided 2015 was going to be all about ME! I'm scheduled for March 3, 2015!!!

That's awesome, Michelle! I'm getting sleeved on March 31st, and the horror stories of vomiting and pain scare me, but I'm praying I'll be one of the lucky ones, like you, and not go through all of that!!!

The worse issue for me is the gas release I've had, but it's all good now. Other than that, no nausea, no vomiting, none of that bad stuff. I'm sure to intake 1 ounce of water within a 15 min time period. The scale I have shows my water % also, I'm right on my zone :-)

Home finally, feeling great, lots of fluids in and day 2 of my clear liquids. I'm also getting about 30-40 mins of walking in each day too.

The only thing that freaks me out is I never feel hunger... I've had nothing but water or enhanced water with protein & fiber from Wal-Mart but I'm feeling fine.

So glad for you!! I hope to do half as good???? where did you get the water enhancement at Walmart? I looked in food and pharmacy and didn't see it...what does it come in.

My sleeve was yesterday & I am home now. Can't seem to get rid of this gas pain & pressure with no amount of walking ????

Good Luck @@mechele8

I found it in the aisle with all the other water enhancer ad ins. It's in a tan box, 2 flavors. Strawberry banana, orange and mango peach.

Great stuff there.

Hey all. Im on my 3rd day post op. I feel somewhat better. The trapped gas is the most pain ive ever felt! I tried using gas x strips but am not sure if they helped or not. I 've. Got 6 small, and i mean small incisions and are healing up nicely. I can definitely feel when the fluid hits my new pouch and it dont take much for me to realize im full. Ill be curious to see how much weight ill loose in the coming months. Well, good luck to you all!

Gasx won't help with post surgical gas. That gas they punp inside you to have room to work. Sometimes bubbles hide behind organs and just have to dissolve. Gasx helps stomach gas if you overeat or eat something disagreeable. Try getting someone to karate chop your upper back and shoulders, and keep moving.

Surgery is in 2 days......nervous but ready.....

Its bizaare having no sensation of hunger and having to force myself to drink a sip

2 days for me and I'm pumped I've had a long journey to this day and I'm so looking forward to the gas pains and all. ...

My gas was horrible before I had a bite of real food. I tried the gas x strips last night & I throw them right up. Today blended cream of mushroom soup & decaf ice tea have been good today. Just not at the same time lol! Also my heating pad has been a lifesaver!
