Hi #mdlange,

I wish you all the best. So excited for you!!!!! I can't wait to hear your play-by-play on things. I'm a few weeks after you at Vida as well with Dr. Lopez. I'm like a kid on her way to the toy store ... just giddy!

I am having VSG done by Dr. Lopez this Wednesday morning. YIKES! I am going to the Vida hospital. I promise to give you a play by play as soon as I can type. These forums/friends have been a life saver for me and I am ready to be on the other side and help my fellow VSG'ers thru the process.

Hi Katyh2015,

So glad for you. The journey has begun. I'm sure it feels super good to see things moving in the direction you want. I'm scheduled on March 4th at Vida Hospital with Dr. Lopez. Let me know where you're staying as we might be in the same hotel around the same time.

@@katyh2015 My surgery is going to be in Tijuana, Mexico. It is going to cost $4400. I get one night in the hospital pre-op, two nights in the hospital and two additional nights in a hotel for recovery before I fly back to Texas. I have already sampled some Protein drinks... any help or personal suggestions are welcomed. Since we are on the subject, what kind of bullion/broth is everyone trying???

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
