(Ferrous fumarate) Iron : how many mg do you take ? Does it have Vit C too?

Recommended Posts

I take 18 mg of Iron and 36 mg of vit C once a day. Is that enough? I also take the sub-lingual B12. What do you take? I have been feeling dizzy and out of breath and can barely walk 30 min a day without exhaustion when I was use to walking an hour a day . I am 2 and a half months out. Help

The next time you see your surgeon, you should get your bloodwork done, you may be low in Iron and or other Vitamins and miberals

I am trying to deal with anemia right now, my paperwork from my 1yr labs got hidden in some other stuff. I started having all kinds of issues and went to the dr. yesterday. I'm on Hemocyte plus till my new labs come back next week. I have to take 2 a day and they've got over 300mg of Iron. I don't want an IV infusion but I don't want to end up in the hospital either. If you've not had new blood panels done on your next visit I would strongly INSIST that they do that because it's better to keep things up and going smoothly instead of waiting until things go "south".

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
