Bariatric Advantage Nectar Protein

Recommended Posts

Hi ! Has anyone had the Bariatric nectar Protein shakes ? How do they taste? Is there a recommended flavor. Wish they sold separate packets to try. I heard after surgery your taste buds may change not possibly wanting the regular Protein Shakes so thought I might look into trying the nectar. Any feedback would be awesome ! Thanks !

I could stand my chocolate flavors after surgery. I'm a week out. It's getting better. I tried the fuzzy navel with nonfat milk and ice and found it refreshing. People typically like them around here...

Thanks MisforMimi I'm doing the Premier vanilla and chocolate. I will probably get the Bariatric Advantage shakes too. I liked the vanilla didn't like the iced lattee. Still have to try Choclate and Orange Creme. I bought a couple different flavor packets to try out. Best of luck with your recovery.

Fuzzy navel with skim milk is really, REALLY good. I know it is a strong word, but I HATE Protein shakes, LOL. nectar is by far my favorite, but I have only had the fuzzy navel flavor. I have samples of the lemonade and Carribean cooler that I will probably try over the next few days. There is almost NO whey taste. I can smell it, but nearly as much as with other brands.

My surgeons office/nutritionist sells sample packs with lots of flavors, so there must be a way of getting individual packets. I've tried three or four flavors--Today's was Carribean Cooler, which was super coconutty. Can't say I'm crazy about any of them, but YMMV.

Www.si03.com. Syntrax Nectar, I bought samples there, it was a package of 10 or 12 different ones. You really have to look for it though, NOT an easy website to navigate.

I like the flavor of the Bariatric Advantage stuff but the texture of the Quest shakes is better to me. I'm wondering which one I'll tolerate better after surgery? I really have issues with texture (my whole life) like I love tomatoes taste but can't eat raw tomatoes.

I tried the nectar sample pack and fell in love with the Twisted cherry flavor. I add a scoop on the powder to 20 oz of Water plus 1 packet of sugar free kool aid.. = Protein packed yummy juice!

Thanks Bayla1212! I just ordered thru bariatric pantry. You can also order a one time variety pack through Syntrax (Co that produces it) for $14 plus 1.99 shipping but it's on back order about three weeks ...I need it quicker since my surgery is in a 1 1/2 weeks.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
