You're the one calling people murderers, not me.

But I agree, we need to get back to the topic at hand, or else the moderators are going to shut this down.

Ahhhhhhh......some are wise.....

Gadget, sorry I went away and forgot my follow up. It was some time ago that I made my last post and I had planned to respond to what I thought would be your reaction to my post. I have lost interest in this forum a bit and do not come here often any more so did not respond.

My intention was to show how rhetoric dialed up to a high level, does not work, in fact it often has a counter affect.

It would seem this would have been a more effective plan had I followed up with you immediately after you responded to my post. That, in the very least would have made my attempt at making a point much less feable than this.

Cheers

TommyO

P.S. to all who care to listen. I have had the band for over 3 years and have lost over 120 lbs. I am very happy with the band and would do it again for certain. My satisfaction with the band is not the reason I don't participate here at the LapBand forum. I believe my reason for staying away is that this site becomes less relevant, as a support tool as you get further along in your journey. One day you realize that you are spending your time at the site arguingwith some crazy fundamentalist christian about abortions, it's then you realize that it may be time to move on.

I pop in for a visit from time to time but hopefully this will be my last post.

Good luck eveyrone and to all the Pro-Choicer's keep fighting the good fight!!

I get it pattyg. Your brand of Christianity is the only right one. I've listened to people like you before. I have no desire to clarify anything I've written so that you can understand it. Because I know that you are not interested in anything that I have to say. You just like to hear yourself spout your right wing extremist rehtoric. You like to argue about it so that you can feel superior - holier than thou, in fact.

Besides, you said you're finished here. No more posts. Buh-bye.

As for TommyO - dang guy, I'm sure gonna miss you. I totally agree with LBT being a very worthwhile tool during the first year or so before and after being banded. Then it becomes pretty repetitive and you get tired of answering, What is a PB?

I've told myself to stop participating at Rs & Rs because there are so many nutballs who write nutty, negative things. But what keeps me coming back are the really bright, sweet people and I always learn stuff from them.

Congratulations big time on your fantastic success!!! You have earned your graduation onto Facebook or Youtube or wherever you can have a fun time. Like I said, I'll miss you dude. You're cool. :(

Hello, it has been a few months since I said goodbye to this topic, but I am revisiting it because I recently heard that the IRS which takes the position that if a child is intentionally aborted but somehow manages to survive for 2 or more days before dying can be declared a dependant by the parents who attempted to abort him. This is pure secular humanism in action! Follow the logic now. The unborn child is aborted at his parents request, but they are not charged with assault because he isn't deemed to be human in the eyes of the law. But if he survives the abortion, he becomes a dependent for tax purposes because he is a child. But if he then dies a few hours later, his parents will not be charged with murder because he isn't a child. This is where the convoluted thinking of man leads us. We quickly cease to make sense when we abandon the wisdom of the creator and substitute our own puny ideas of the moment.

I never knew about that, but I don't think when a girl or a women has an abortion she says to herself...heck yeah...deduction!...I'm sorry, but that was never in my mind at all...An abortion is painful physically, but emotionally it is so much worse! I think this thread has come to an end...I think it's time we all say good bye to it because at this point all it is is arguing about who's opinion is right...when really it's up to the individual to decide if they are pro choice or pro life. It is a personal choice and we should not be judge for the choice that we make in the end. Good luck to everyone and remember that just because you think something is right it doesn't mean you have to shove it down everyone elses throat until they have no choice but to swallow it. Take care and good luck to everyone in their weightloss journey!

I must confess that when I had my abortion I wasn't tossed up about missing out on an income tax deduction.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
