Got my stairs in but no walk today. Misty and rainy so I skipped it. Breakfast was yogurt, lunch was three cheese sticks. dinner out was salad, seafood and two bites of the Pasta which I boxed up and took home. My mom said she'll eat the Pasta for lunch tomorrow. My latest fill gets me stuck easily if I don't chew well and slow down, so I've been chewing well and slowing down.

I didn't weigh myself this weekend since it was my birthday and I allowed myself to indulge. I'll weigh next weekend.

Off to a concert tomorrow night with my best friend.

Tomorrow will be sausage links for Breakfast, cheese sticks for lunch, and egg salad for dinner before heading to the concert. If the weather is dry I'll walk on lunch.

Good morning! I'm glad to see some of us back on....missing those that haven't gotten to be back.

@@punkinvine sounds like you did an amazing job with such a stressful day and I love how God give us simple beautiful flowers to remind us that H is always there

@@s_suther great job on your plan. You are better at liquids than me. I made it to dinner the other day but even doing that has helped me get on track mentally

@@JustWatchMe happy late birthday! Great job with a little indulgence and then getting back on track

Had a good day yesterday! My scale is finally moving in the right direction...this morning I was 200.0. Goodness gracious I'm so close to seeing that 1! It's been a little over a year in the 2s so if you feel the earth shaking in the next few days it's just me jumping around celebrating!

Today's plan

B-protein drink

S-greek yogurt

L-chicken salad &7 pita crackers

D-bunless chili dog.

Waterwaterwater

Plan to walk the hood this afternoon.

Have a great day!

@@2babutterfly, we are all rooting for that scale to drop into the 1's!!!

My plan is solid. I probably won't be on here until Wednesday. Carry on, Warriors! I've got me some Neil Diamond tonight!

@@2babutterfly - hang in there, girl, that 1 is coming!! Can't wait to do the happy dance with you! I'm thinking liquids again today (except for the bar, which keeps me sane) and then liquids until dinner time for the remainder of the week. I like the feeling of being back in control when I try something like this and it also keeps Protein up and calories down. Thoughts?

@@JustWatchMe - enjoy that concert with your friend!!

Dreary and rainy here today, but I'm not gonna let that stop me. I've already done a 30 minute cardio video and my husband and I will walk three miles with Leslie Sansone tonight. I'm already 24oz into my 72oz of Water for today. I've got meals planned as follows:

10am - 8 oz shake w/fiber

12pm - 8 oz shake w/fiber

2pm - 8 oz shake w/fiber

4pm - 8 oz shake w/fiber

6pm - egg drop Soup & Atkins bar

801c, 109p, 32nc

I'll post later for accountability with food and exercise. Hope you all have a stellar day!! Take care of you.

Hello Everyone!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have been pretty much at a standstill for the past 6 months, losing and gaining the same 5-7 pounds. I am onward and downward. I started a boot camp this week (6days/week, 3 kickboxing/3 strength training), so hopefully that will jumpstart my weight loss so I can reach my goal.

Burned 484 calories in kickboxing today. Whoot!

Pre workout - Protein shake

B - greek yogurt w/1T granola, 1T craisins

S - cheese stick/10 almonds

L - tuna salad

S - Protein shake w/fiber

D - ground turkey, cheese slice, green Beans

Good evening!! Got in 80 cardio minutes today, so I met that personal goal! I ate OP & got in all of my Water too. Yeah me!!

Today's stats: 924c, 108p, 31nc

I got hungry mid afternoon, so I ate 2 eggs & 5 pecan halves. That made all the difference and jacked up my Protein too.

Hope you've all had a stellar day.

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.
