@HealthyNewMe I know what you mean about old habits. Good for you for coming up with a plan to work in the gym before your flight! Met my goals for the day. I ate OP, drank all of my Water, and just finished a three mile walk video.

Hope everybody's rocking their plans too! Let us hear all about it!!

Ended the day with 1380 calories and 12 flights of stairs. Pretty good.

Having minor surgery Friday and so tomorrow I'm on Clear liquids all day. I don't know how I managed to be unprepared for that. I knew it was liquids and planned to have my powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury shakes all day. But I just read the pre op sheet and there's that darned word "clear". Ugh. Specifically says no cream in coffee either.

Oh well. Maybe I'll lose a pound or two. I've got some bouillon in the cupboard and I can run to CVS at lunchtime and pick up some Ensure Clear.

I'll aim for twelve flights of stairs again tomorrow. Not worried about the calories. I probably won't hit 500.

Up and on my game today. Had grits with cheese , 3/4 C. Gummy Calcium. Laundry ready to fold. Grandson , age 2 on his way here for a couple of hours. Then off to the gym. Egg drop Soup for lunch is my plan. I need to defrost a chicken.... dinner?

Quinoa... I used Trader Joe's Organic White Quinoa. I use it just like I would Pasta. I did a lb. ground round, large can of tomatoes , 1 diced onion and 1 can of red Beans. I added 1 bean can of Water after the ground round was drained and onion tender. Then added tomatoes and 1/3 C quinoa. I put the Iron skillet in the oven covered for about 40 min. at 300 F. I topped with some muenster cheese slices when I took it out of the oven. Quinoa is a complete Protein unlike any other grain so I am using it more. Use chili powder and salt if desired.

Will buy and try Quinoa..... I tend to eat all of my traditional meals (Gumbo, red Beans, Tomato gravy) and forego the rice, Pasta, etc. I do make some meals like jambalaya with brown rice. I'll let you know about the quinoa. Side note, I DID NOT go to the gym as I planned. Will try to get some walking in or use my daughter's gym in Baltimore this evening.

I think I'm going to try quinoa too. I must tell you that I'm drooling at what you call "traditional meals". I love Louisiana and all of the food; used to spend quite a bit of time there as a kid. If you break out shrimp po-boys and beignets, I'm on a plane and on my way! :D Safe travels today and I hope all goes well with your daughter's surgery.

@@JustWatchMe How are you doing on those Clear liquids? YUCK! Let us know everything is okay as soon as you can after your surgery.

Meals are planned and I'm already halfway through my Water. I'm going to walk the mall tonight and will post when it's completed. Have a wonderful day!!!

Hello everyone! Hope you're having a great day! I made it back to the gym yesterday! Woowoo! I can't make it today so I am trying to move with my students today! (I teach pre-k). They have lots of energy. Did pretty good on eating yesterday except for one handful of chips ????. Today has been a strange day my band is a little tight today. I've eaten some cheese and a banana but I'm really not that hungry. Having a girls night tonight and they are serving gumbo so we'll see how that goes! Ill report back tomorrow!

@JustWatchMe I'm sorry you're starving! I feel the same way when they put me back on liquids for whatever reason, so I know how you feel.

@2babutterfly I don't see an issue with a handful of chips. Is it me? I mean, if you were replacing chips for a meal or were eating a bag of them, it would be a different story. I've always been encouraged to eat what I want, in moderation, and document it. I'm amazed you can eat banana...I'd love one, but would be so stuck that I'd wish for death.

I am almost never hungry which is great. I went to the gym last night. My daughter was in the pool at the gym and called me to make sure I would go. I feel awesome after.

I got my exercise yesterday by walking at the mall. We had to go to pick up something for my daughter, so I killed two birds with one stone.

I've got meals planned for the day and plan to do an exercise video this afternoon. All is well in my world and this thread seems to help me with enthusiasm and accountability, so THANK YOU guys for that!

I hope all of you have a wonderful day.

@JustWatchMe Thinking about you today. Hope all goes as planned. Praying for peace and comfort.

Drinking green tea, wait 20 min, lettuce cheese wrap for Breakfast. Wishing for a garden Tomato. Drooling over the garden catalog. Over haul of Hubby's office begins today. Phone call.... Going to have a grandson today. That is good for the exercise! My stomach has healed some and I am hungry. Taking the food plan to the mushy menu. In retrospect I think I had coconut in a dish and had not thought of how stringy it is. That might be my issue. Live and learn. Planning to do the elliptical this afternoon... This is the day the LORD hath made rejoice and be glad in it!

Had my minor "delicate region" procedure today. Feel like a truck ran over me and I still haven't eaten. I took a nap this afternoon. I'll go have some dinner now.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
