Anyone out there lose too much weight that they were denied surgery

I am five months into my mandatory 6 consecutive months of weight management requirement for my gastric sleeve. In that amount of time I have lost 33 pounds. I am afraid to lose more as I am afraid I will be told I am no longer eligible. Having the surgery has been my sole motivation to lose weight. I am making these changes to have a better life with the sleeve. Any words of encouragement is greatly appreciated. Thanks

from my understanding, your qualifying weight is based on what you start when you start the program - that's what it is for most insurance companies anyways. They want to see you lose weight. When you start the pre-op diet it's pretty much guaranteed that you'll lose, and possibly quite a lot.

I was told not to let my BMI get lower than 35 (I had comorbidities) or the insurance could deny me.

Good luck!
