HELP! Weight gain during 6 month pre insurance requirements...

I am working on my last weigh in for insurance and I have gained weight 5 of the 6 weigh ins. Has anyone had this issue and still got approved. I am so worried this will effect my insurance approval. Help, please and thank you.

I think it depends on your insurance company. I would ask the bariatric coordinator and/or NUT if the goal is to lose weight during the pre-op period.

It does depend on your insurance company. I gained 7 lbs during my 6 month supervised weight-loss plan, and was still approved. Others though, I've read, have been denied. I asked my coordinator, and he assured me that my insurance was not one that mandated a loss, or penalized for a gain, so I'd say they deal with these insurance companies very often...they should be able to answer this best for you. Good luck!
