Yes Hoosierpoms the airport has been up and running for a week now. Things are going real well. Was real busy the last couple of getting it ready to open. Everybody likes the new place. Now it is on to another project. Looks like I will be going east but not sure at this time, hope to know more in the next week or so.

Went to the doctor on Monday and he feels that I do not need another fill at this time. He feels the band is tight enough for now since I am still loosing weight. Some close people are saying that Iam loosing to much. He felt that another 10-15 would be fine. The doctor says I do not need to see him for at least 6 months. Will be going for a physical in Jan. and will see how things are going at that time.

Hi Chefette,

Are you a chef? I work in food service.

What kind of riding do you do? Seeing that I'm in Ohio I don't thing I'd be able to ride with ya, but welcome to the cycling pages of LBT.

You might want to check out your local bike shops for cycling groups. Ask the staff, they should be able to point you in the right direction.

Nice to meet you.

Hi Cycling Buddies.

I want to tell you all that WOO HOO, my insurance has agreed to cover my skin removal surgery!!!!

I know I'm far from goal, about 20 pounds, considering the surgeon is thinking there's 30 pounds of skin and tissue to remove. I don't know how much of the 20 will come off before April when I have the surgery, regardless I'll be able to work it off after as well.

Why April? I'll be done with school come then.

Any way, I know this isn't biking related, but you all have been with me for so much of this journey I wanted to share.

Oh, and GO BUCKS!

Thanks. I can't wait to see the results either.

Actually, I'm still not sure which doctor I'm going to go with. I've seen one and I'm going to see a second one in

December to get his opinion. He's in Cincinnati, which is about 90 minutes from home...

I'm sure I'll bore you all with the details by the time is actually happens.

:)

Woo Hoo!

Go BUCKS! is right!

Juli...that is awesome about your surgery! Are you getting panniculectomy or abdominoplasty? Fight for both if you can. That way you get the skin removed, but a pretty result when it's done. Talk to the surgeon about how they expect it to look afterwards. You probably know all this, but just some friendly advice!

I'm so excited for you!

I'm looking at a belt lipectomy with a incision from the brest bone down. He is pulling my butt up and my back skin down. Also the incision from the breast bone down is to remove the copious excess skin on my upper abdomin. My all time highest weight was 350, I have oodles of skin. There's a mons lift in there too.

Plus I'm having my arms done at the same time. God willing.

Like I said I don't mean to bore you all here with the details. I might do like the other folks do and start a thread about my plastics. I'm not sure though...maybe just keep it in my blog.

XO

Hi all

I haven't rode a bike in years. I use to all the time:tongue: even done 6omile bike runs and then go to work all night. I do not know if I can ride right away because of my baaaad knees:cursing:

But I hope that at some point I will be able.

Congrats on getting insurance to cover the surgery. Now for the all important question how did you swing that?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
