D if I can go you can go. I'm in school too. It's only a weekend.

And if you don't go with everyone else going you'll be the biggest tool ever.

C,

Which airport do you typically fly out of? Cols or Toledo? I'm guessing Findlay doesn't have much of airport, maybe a landing strip in a corn field somewhere???

If Columbus we should coordinate our flights if we can. Ya know? Start the party early.

It has been a while since I've checked in. In the last month I did a 34 mile charity ride here in LA. I am still looking for other "banders" in LA to ride with.

I am training to do the MS 75 mile ride in September. Is there anyone in the So-Cal/Central Cal interested in doing it with me?

Hi TJ, nice rides you are doing. I am in Idaho so can't help with the partnering up sorry. Have you tried looking into the specific state portion of the forum?

J, I know, what a loser I am huh? I always ruin everything.....LOL...well, I am not saying yes, but I am not saying no. BUT, if I drive, I would not be able to do it just for the weekend, that is the issue. The time....too bad its not during summer vacay.

Actually, we have a very special private airport that lots of rich people that work for Marathon use. And...it's in a corn field along I-75. You pass it every time you go see your GF! LOL

We can go to several places. Dayton is the nicest and the easiest to maneuver around. Toledo, Detroit, Cleveland and Columbus. It doesn't matter which to me though. Would be more fun to go in pairs! Heard today that the airlines are taking away the peanuts and pretzelss though. Damn. Do you think the flights will be any cheaper now? HAHA

Since you are the planner...do you have any ideas as to which airline and stuff like that? I always fly United, but if you can get a really fabulous deal on another let me know. We've got a long flight.

There's a conference in Dallas Forth Worth, Texas.

C, I pricelined a ticket and they were about $270. I'd go Friday morning and return Sunday night maybe Monday morning.

But it's my normal kiddo weekend, so I need to get the schedule rectified with my X and also make sure there's a good group going. I'll be more pissed than you can imagine if I make plans and no one goes like Vegas AGAIN. I refuse to have my GF come as back up....

Also, I need to see my work schedule for that month too. I don't want to pass up overtime...That sounds vague but I'll know soon, next year's school schedule.

Whew,

Okay, working out has been stellar. I took a good friend my favorite LBS today after work. I love my guy there. I would marry him if I could. My pal wants to start riding and I'm so psyched to help her out.

And D, a tool equals ass, joker, idiot, moron. You get the picture.

Alright, just to show no good deed goes unpunished...

I rode my bike last weekend for the first time in forever, and in the process, I did something to fuck up my ankle, so i've been hobbling around all week... It was the only week this summer I'm going to be home... No bike for me... :(

Anyway - just sharin'

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
