To Truvia or not to Truvia

My NUT. when I was having lap band in Jan. said I could use Truvia so I have been using that ever since even when the band was removed in March. Now, I had RNY and she says not to use Truvia. REALLY? What am I to do with my big bucket of Truvia now or can I still use it in my cofree? One tsp. is all I use for my one cup of now decaf coffee a day.

Why did she say it was no longer allowed?

Because it is made with erythritol.

I guess it would depend on how closely you follow your NUT advise. I wasn't told not to use it, butvi use organic Stevia.
