I am 7 months almost 8 months post op. The last 2 weeks, I feel as if I could eat a horse. I have been eating more in the last 2 weeks. I do not know what is going on. I cannot continue like this. It will NOT be good. Has anyone else had this problem?

I haven't even had my first apt yet, but, focus on what you have lost........65 lbs good for you! Maybe this is just one of those periods where you have tapered off, but if you stick with it, you will start losing again. The alternative is just weight gain and complications, so hang in there. I would give anything to lose 65 lbs, think of how good you look and the health benefits you've gained so far.

Keep reading other posts, maybe there will be something suggested that will work for you.

At 3 months out, I am noticing the same. I think I have to start eating chicken breast lol. But seriously, I am a little concerned as well. I just make sure that I eat every 2 hours and do the Proteins first. I hope it will change for both of us.

Later Loser!

Hi Lidi -- YES ME TOO!!!!! OMG! You and I are on the same boat, ugh! I also crave sweets, crave chocolate! But let's try to control ourselves by snacking on Protein stuff, no carbs and no sweets or chocolate (this after I ate an entire Kit Kat bar last night). Shame on me! I have not lost anything in the past 4 weeks due to this, I think mine is from anxiety. But that's it, I'm telling myself -- and it feels good to write it down right now right here, I HAVE to stop and go back to being good. I will go home today after work and get rid of all bad things I'm tempted to snack on. Let's try to be strong together and not give in to temptation LOL. We've worked so hard to reach our 60+ pounds off, right? Good luck my friend, let's try our hardest to continue being good starting this minute! :(

I have actually lost a little more than 70 pounds. I am craving sweets as well. I MUST get back to my boiled egg for Breakfast and piece of grilled chicken for lunch and dinner. I WILL I WILL I WILL. I have been through too much and came too far to fall back now. Ladies....WE HAVE GOT THIS. WE CAN OVERCOME THIS lol...

From someone who hasn't had surgery yet, please don't be a statistic! We all have spent the better part of our lives being statistics. Weight gain after diet statistics. % of fat American statistics. Do NOT be a gain after WLS statistic. Get your head back in the game, ladies! I'll be there with you one day and you might need to remind me, too!

Yes. Somewhere right around 7 or 8 months post op it's like a switch went off and all of the sudden I felt like I could eat more. I had to be really mindful to eat Protein first and not let carbs and slider foods in. The type of food that you are eating makes a difference in the restriction you feel. It is super easy to not over eat in those first 7 months or so, but then after that you really have to determine that you are going to stick to the plan! Once I got my mind wrapped around that it's been smooth sailing since then!

Yes, Livvsmum I can see it in your profile. i am craving sweets too and ended up buying yogurt almonds. I try to make sure to make my Protein shake eveyday to help tame my cravings. I am not even 7 months out yet and I have to get my head back into the game. WE CAN DO THIS, WE WILL DO THIS! Proteins first and get rid of the crap!

Later Losers!

I will not be a statistic. I am simply having a "small setback". It is back to the basics for me. What I know works. I was dropping upwards of 6 pounds a week less than 2 months ago. I have a 20 year class reunion in about a year and I WILL BE at my goal weight.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
