Lucky # Sevens- July 07 Bandsters

I just found out my surgery will be in July (granted my pre-op testing goes okay) SOOOOOOOOO

Here's a thread for everyone getting banded in July 07!

Does anyone have any good ideas for a neat name we could call ourselves?

Kathy,

Welcome Back!!! I am sooo glad things went well for you!!!! You have to be soooo relieved!!!!

Thanks you for the caring words! It made a big difference and I am feeling all better. You all rock.

Kathy, glad to hear you are doing well!

Lynette, welcome back girlfriend.

Chim, where are you? I am getting worried!

NewCC, hang in there. Did your doctor give you any medication for nausea? Mine gave me prescription at my pre-op appt. and I got them filled, hope they work. Glad to hear you are alive and well neverthless.

I am in major "do" mode, trying to get everything clean and organized and what not. My surgery is at 12pm central time, and I have to be at the hospital at 10:30am, so I can sleep in a little bit. Yeah, right.

As I was showering tonight I thought " Can I wear deodorant to the hospital?" When I shower tomorrow morning, do you all think I can go over my regular beaty routine ( deodorant, creams, perfume) or just go al natural?

All,

I thought my first mushy meal would be great....boy, what a disappointment. I cut and boiled a potato and added skim milk and mashed it in the silver bullet, added a little butter, salt & pepper. And then minced some ham. Got both nice and hot in the microwave and sat down to eat it and it wasn't very good. It tasted too salty after twelve days with nothing but sweet shakes and stuff. I soldiered on and tried to eat as much of it as I could, which was about 2 to 2.5 ounces of each. All I really wanted was to take a big drink of water and have my low carb slim fast shake, which I used to despise....

I will enjoy my water soon and I think I'm going to go back to liquids tomorrow. Have a shake for breakfast, soup and jello for lunch, and then perhaps try some more mushies tomorrow night.

But, I'm so disappointed, I had such high hopes for mushies.....

Marcy,

Enjoy the HOT date!!! What do you call your husband?? I must have missed something, not DH, but BSOAH ... Okay, do share, Girl!!!!! Oh and we need details of your date!!!! You know, inquiring minds want to know!!!! LOL

Eileen, If I recall it was right about a week out before my stomach started to go down. A few more days should help with that one!!! Hang in there!

Hello you guys! I've missed you. I am at my parents' house right now, just to make sure e'thing is okay. I got discharged tonight around 8pm. My doc wanted to discharge me earlier, but got called into emergency surgery.

I am doing really well. Of course, a bit sore, but other than that, I feel good. All the hospital staff said I was looking/doing good.

Unfortunately, my parents' hi-speed internet is messed up, so I'm on dial-up right now. Eewww.

Well, I'm exhausted from the ride home-about 2 hrs, so I'm gonna head to bed now.

Just wanted to let ya'll know how I was doing.

Gnite!

Kathy,

How impressive!!! You did better than me!! I am jealous, I had all those gas pains and shoulder pain!!! You are one lucky lady!!!!

Your son is just too sweet!!! That had to make you feel sooo good!

Kids can fix anything!!!!!! Welcome Back, Lady!

I didn't use deodorant, they usually don't want you to use any of that, but docs all seem different, so who knows, lol!!!! Good luck!

Brandy,

Ahh, I feel your pain!!! I had a few meals that I was hepped up for too and was just disappointed!!! Food just doesn't seem to have the same appeal as it did! But that is good!!

Chim, welcome back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dmtjet, thanks for the info. I forgot to ask my dr. and this is my first surgery ever so I have no clue. I will go ahead and show up al natural.

Chim,

Welcome Home, Girl!!!! Glad it is over for you too! Not too bad, huh? You will have to fill us in on the details!!! WE have all missed you!!! Looking forward to hearing more from you!!! Rest, walk, and sip!!! Words of wisdom, lol!

Chim, welcome back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dmtjet, thanks for the info. I forgot to ask my dr. and this is my first surgery ever so I have no clue. I will go ahead and show up al natural.

You are soooo welcome!!! Good luck with everything!!! You are almost there!!! Just close your eyes and it will all be over!!! Can't wait to hear from you upon your return!!! We will be saying prayers that all goes well!

Thanks, and good night! I am going to finish up the laundry and lay down.

Sweet Dreams!!!! :notagree

Bostonchi~ So I had my surgery 8 days ago and I am still a little swollen. They say it can actually last a couple of weeks, but it does go down significantly after about a week. You can still tell my left side is puffier then my right, but not so bad.

Kathybad~ You go girl! Awesome you are in no pain. I would take some meds before bed so you don’t wake up hurting. :cheer2:

Cazulay~ You can put on deodorant, but no lotion, creams or perfume. They told me to go all natural, but I did wear deodorant. No makeup either! That is just what I was told though. Oh my doc also said to make sure to wash the belly button good. That kinda wierded me out I hate belly buttons and glad I didn't know what they do to it before the surgery!

Brandy~ Total bummer, what a let down. I can’t wait til I get to eat mushies. I am still on thin soups, which aren’t that bad, I just want to chew something!!!

Chim~ Yay!!! So glad you are back. Was getting worried, not having heard anything from you til tonight. So glad you are doing well! Sleep good.

Good luck to all of tomorrows bandsters!!! :gluck:
