I am not meant to have a fill. Last night I could eat after 7...tonight...NOPE!:mad2: I had Beans and chicken tortilla Soup last night...Tonight: the broth from the soup still kind of hurt going down (though I think it was because I had already irritated my tummy with the beans!). Water, juice and Protein Drinks go down just fine. Anything else feels like I am swallowing an elephant. SIGH! I know that I said I would be okay being on Soups for three weeks, but I lied!:tt2: I will call tomorrow and schedule an unfill for 1 week from tomorrow. That is spring break and I was going to the other side of the mountains to visit friends anyways, I will just take a 3 hour Detour to the doctors. Thank goodness I don't have to pay for these fills and unfills. Fortunately I am not physically hungry...just mentally not satisfied. Like my mommy I can't just eat 1/4 cup of food and feel like I am done! I am perfectly satisfied at 3/4 to 1 cup of food, but lower than that and this former fat girl feels like she got the short end of the stick:thumbdown:. Oh by the way...popcorn goes down at any time of the day! Go figure. That was one of the foods that they told me I would most likely not be able to eat ever again. Too bad it isn't Protein fortified. I could just eat 15 bags of my 100 calorie popcorn to get to my daily calorie goal.

Well I got back from the gym about an hour ago and I need to take a shower and hit the sack.

Phyl- I used to have ALOT of trouble with my knees as well before lossing some of my weight and my doc had told me not to give up the treadmill just make sure I was walking at an incline on it because it takes some of the stress off the knees. I tried that and it did work for me. Just a tidbit for ya. :mad2:

Greetings All:

I’m so excited I finally made it into onderland. Actually almost a week ago, but hated to post such a milestone until I was certain it was definite.

Patti C: - Don’t berate yourself for what you did or didn’t do this month or even yesterday. I’m not a band expert as you can see from my signature, so I don’t know if a cup of food at each meal (Did I understand you correctly?) , is good or bad. However, Jackie posted a great post about Water. My doctor has on one of her hand-out’s - if you aren’t sure if you are hungry or not, drink water!

Jackie: - Congrats on your Casino windfall!

Linda: - You have my deepest respects for the mentoring and volunteering you do.

Karri: - Hope you are able to eat soon. Glad you decided to go for an unfill.

Kristin – Happy ST. Pat’s Day to you also. Not cooking Irish this evening- neither son nor fiancé is crazy about corned beef. As far as cooking fish, I honestly don’t have any great recipes. I only like mild white fish, Tilapia, Sole, Flounder, Pollock, & Haddock. Cod-only in fishcakes. Other than that, I like shellfish of all kinds. (And besides, breaded and deep fried is the only way to cook fish or most shellfish anyway.) Isn’t it? That was my attempt at a funny ha-ha!

I’m looking forward to FISH recipes, also !!

Phyl & Janet - Thanks to both of you for your help with the site. I’m so envious that you got to spend time together.

Hope everyone has a nice St. Pat’s Day, whatever nationality you are, and regardless of what you eat for dinner.< /span>

Good morning ladies!!!

Where is Janet? She always posts by this time. JANET WHERE ARE YOU!!

Patti- Looks like Phyl pretty much summed it all up. She hit it right on the head so my comment would be 'DITTO'. Good luck and keep comming back and post. This group really keeps your headon straight. I have had a few periods of the same problems and I just keep coming here and they help get through. That is what we are all here for.

Kristin-no St Patty's day meal for me although I really like cooked cabbage.

Well I done the gym for 2 hours yesterday. (still need to update) I have a knew addiction I think. Tanning and the gym. LOL Not to bad of one to have but I think the tanning will have to back down for daily or I will be too dark. HAHA I am scheduled for M-F this week for tanning but after this week I will only go 2-3 times a week. We will see. I am really getting back into the gym. I am going to ask about a trainer today while I am there. I have never seen anyone working with one there so my guess is they don't have one but I will ask. It is the YMCA so I don't know. I am going to try doing more eliptical. I think that it will do more for me. I know it is a lot harder and I feel more worn out afterwards but I just can not do it very long. Guess I need to build up to it. I have finally gotten rid of all the weight that I gained back during Dec and Jan (7 lbs) and lost a couple more. I hope this means that I am back on the right road.

Better get. Need to go to the gym come home and shower and then go tan. I know that sounds backwards but I have to go to work after I tan and believe me when I am finished at the gym the only place I really belong is home in the shower. HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE!! (ok now that I read that that looks a little different. I just feel so good lately and feel pretty happy.)

It does look like something I am going to be interested in. It is going to tape Wednesday night and this weeks is about eating until satisfied, chew chew chew and etc. Next week is how to deal with the emotional eating. Just wanted to share with anyone else who is interested.

Hi all! Happy St. Pats to everyone. I'm back from a long weekend. It was busy busy and traveling with three kids is always a treat!

I did really well on food and drink until yesterday. I caved and I know I shouldn't have but after some trouble with eldest I just lost my entire mind. I was crushed and all I wanted was chocolate. I didn't want to talk. I didn't want to scream. I didn't want to do anything. I just wanted chocolate to sooth myself. I bought a candy bar and ate it. I can't even really say I loved it because I can hardly remember eating it. But I did what I did and there is nothing else to really say. I also ate a few (3 I think) chocolate chip Cookies. Something in me needed those comfort things and I just gave up fighting. I'm okay with it and I know that I am moving on today. I'm on a much more even keel and feel better. Just a melt down moment I guess.

I did pick out a tub, fixtures, and a new kitchen sink for my house. That was exciting! I am getting really excited about the remodel work that's going to start tomorrow. I have a ton of things to do tonight to get ready though. Moved baby into toddlers room last night and will finish moving her stuff tonight. I'm hoping that the topsy turvy won't throw me into another tailspin but I don't think it's too big of a problem.

Well....back to the students. Have a great day!

Oh...and I watched some of the "I can make you thin" show last night. It was interesting....and I think I'm going to take some things from it, but some of it was like, "Yeah...right!" Interesting though.

IRISH VIAGRA

An Irish woman of advanced age visited her physician to ask his

advice in reviving her husband's libido.

"What about trying Viagra?" asked the doctor.

"Not a chance", she said. "He won't even take an aspirin."

"Not a problem," replied the doctor. "Give him an 'Irish Viagra'.

It's when you drop the Viagra tablet into his coffee. He won't even

taste it. Give it a try and call me in a week to let me know how

things went."

It wasn't a week later when she called the doctor, who directly

inquired as to her progress. The poor dear exclaimed, "Oh, faith,

bejaysus and begorrah! T'was horrid! Just terrible, doctor!"

"Really? What happened?" asked the doctor.

"Well, I did as you advised and slipped it in his coffee and the

effect was almost immediate. He jumped straight up, with a twinkle in his eye and with his pants a-bulging fiercely! With one swoop of his arm, he sent me cups and tablecloth flying, ripped me clothes to tatters and took me then and there passionately on the tabletop! It was a nightmare, I tell you, an absolute nightmare!"

"Why so terrible?" asked the doctor, "Do you mean the sex your

husband provided wasn't good?"

"Twas the best sex I've had in 25 years! But sure as I'm sittin here,

I'll never be able to show me face in Starbucks again!"

So sorry to hear that you are so tight... that is no fun at all. If I am that tight I just wait afew days and it loosens up... but it sounds like you've already waited thru that period. You slight unfil is the best remedy, even 1/4 of a cc ... will work wonders for you. Good luck

Ok guys I need some interesting and tasty ways to cook fish. I thought I would ask you guys to see if you have any good ideas. I like things really flavorfull.... any good ideas? Thanks!

Then I crush up several cloves of garlic and fresh rosemarry. 2 tsp Olive Oil... I RUB this mixture all over both sides of the fish fillet... Then you can either pan saute or bake in the oven. I prefer the frying pay method, but it is a bit smellier the next day (hee, hee)

But this is my FAVORITE fish. 2nd in line is Tilapia, and I cook it abou the same way, but leave off the rosemary.... as Tilapia is a very sweet, delicate tasting fish. ALso you can always shake n'Bake your fish.. very easy.

Nope I just keep getting tighter! Called my doc and schedule for Friday. They of course wanted me to come in sooner, but this is the first week of the new trimester and I am already going to be missing Thursday for a conference. I shouldn't miss Friday, but I have to be able to eat at some point without pain. I had some pureed noodle-less lasagne for lunch and now I am in agony. Fortunately I have prep period now so I can try and recover.

And yes...where is Janet!?

Peaches - DH says to go to Dunkin' donuts instead. LOL

I have to also ditto Phyl's , Karri and Lindas responses. I went into this journey, expecting the band to do most of the work. WRONG. Don't let anyone tell you that you are taking the easy way out. We are working just as hard as any old Joe off the street to lose weight.

Karri - hope you can eat soon.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
