WOW, here we GROW again!!!!

Welcome jfk and james (Karen).;)

Breadlady, what happened today:confused: Hope it's good news, but I'm more worried about how you're feeling:sick. If everything is a go, I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. Take care of yourself. If it's not a go, I'll still be thinking of you, and let us know when they could reschedule for you.

Get Well Soon.

Chimboree, how did your appointment go? I have one with my Dr. tomorrow for a history and physical.

Cherrybomb, :omg: a whole new life for you. Best of luck in your whole new journey.

Sunshine, glad you had a great vacation:cool:. You'll be taking that 4 lbs off and a lot more, so don't worry about it now. I think I'd pay $15 for a few sessions to see if they helped. Once you join with my Dr., you get unimited sessions with nutritionist and physicologist all in the cost.

Snaggletooth, sorry to hear about your waiting game.:faint: Good thing you've been on top of it though. I didn't realize they would give you a date without insurance approval. I'm self pay so I'm not sure how it works.

Corrina, good luck with the pre-op diet:hungry:. I'm one that doesn't have any per op diet. I kind of feel like I should, but I have so much going on in the next 2 weeks, I'm glad I don't.

Marci, you celebrated yesterday too?? I've had that lazy and tired feeling for too long to count now.:bored I think it because everything is situated now, and all I'm waiting for now is the date. I was getting on the computer, day after day, trying to learn all I could about the surgery, and now I feel comfortable with everything I know, and it's almost like a let down of energy. Now the exhaustion of all that researching is hitting me and I have that lazy tired feeling too.

I had my last class tonight.:clap2: I can't believe my date is 2 weeks from today.:) I hope I'm feeling better by then. I'm going to see my PCP tomorrow (if I can get in) to get something for my sinus problem. Maybe she'll just call me something in and save me a trip.

My theme song for today! Come on everyone sing! You know how it goes ;)

The sun'll come out

Tomorrow

Bet your bottom dollar

That tomorrow

There'll be sun!

Just thinkin' about

Tomorrow

Clears away the cobwebs,

And the sorrow

'Til there's none!

When I'm stuck a day

That's gray,

And lonely,

I just stick out my chin

And Grin,

And Say,

Oh!

The sun'll come out

Tomorrow

So ya gotta hang on

'Til tomorrow

Come what may

Tomorrow! Tomorrow!

I love ya Tomorrow!

You're always

A day

A way!

Okay, I'm a little giddy! My pre-op went excellent. :clap2::clap2::clap2:My lungs were clear

:). I didn't hide the fact that I had a cold last week and told her I still had sum "gunk" when I coughed. The "gunk" is clear so that is good. She talked to the Anesthesiologist and he was fine with it. The NP just said to keep using my inhaler today and use it first thing tomorrow.

You guys I am so excited I can't stand it! Of course I am terrified at the same time!

Everyone, thank you for your well wishes, prayers, etc. I truly appreciate it. It really feels like we are a family! So I guess I will be the first "band baby".

Dini you are next if I'm not mistaken.

I will try and post on Wednesday probably at night and let you all know how it went. I have to be @ the hospital at 5:30 a.m.:notagree tomorrow morning. That is not going to be a pretty picture.

:) Especially since I have to come "ugly". You know - no make up, no hair products (and I need them or I look like a boy). No jewelry. They gave me some special soap I have to use. Shower with it tonight and again in the morning. I am sure my skin will be dry as heck and itchy and I can't put any lotion on. Yikes!

It's all good though! I am happy.

But hey at least I am first up in the morning for surgery. That's good. Surgery is at 7:30 a.m.

I am so not going to sleep tonight so it's good I have to go early.

Chimboree26 - Great minds think alike. I bought a Magic Bullet on Saturday also. I haven't opened it yet but I did buy it. Can't decide whether I really want it or not. Funny though I had never heard of it until on this site. Well last night when I couldn't sleep (up til 2 a.m.) I turned on the television and guess what was on...an informercial for Magic Bullet! Too funny.

CONGRATS BREADLADY!!!

Can you tell I an so excited for you. I bet you won't sleep a wink tonight, but it will be well worth it. Thanks for letting us know. I was getting a little worried when I saw you hadn't posted yet today.

I saw your name come up on the botton under who was on the thread, so I kept pushing the refresh button, waiting on your post.

You're our "FIRST BORN". No wonder it took you so long to post, you typed out the whole song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DINI, I figured you were just giving me a hard time, and I'm glad. I am sorry though. I just skipped over my scribble I had on paper.

OK everyone, so let me know what you think. If I have a blender and a smoothie maker, do you think I need a magic bullet??????

We sell them where I work, and I can get one on employee shopping day on Friday, but I don't want to spend the money on one if my other blenders will do. Let me know what you all think.

DIni,

I got some new flip flops for my birhtday from my hubby, along with a new bathingsuit coverup. Think he's trying to tell me something. I bet if it was next year, he'd be buying me a bikini and hoping I'd wear it.

HA-HA. My mom gave me some money and some beach towels, and I got a gift card to my favorite eatery from my sister and her family.

All in all, it was an ok day, just a little bittersweet being that it fell on Father's Day and my father has been gone for 16 years now. It's only the second time it's fell on this special day since his passing. It's still hard to deal with.

Wohoo Breadlady! Good luck sister! My prayers are with you!

I keep reading this stuff about the Magic Bullet. Now, I know that we're all talking about the little food processor....but, while I worked in a home health department at our hospital we had a quadrapeligic patient who used what he called the "Magic Bullet" suppository to really get things out, if you know what I mean....so that's the first thing that pops in my mind. Yeah, I'm a sicko sometimes!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
