Newbie here surgery date 11/5

Recommended Posts

Hi, my name is Meka. I was searching for a forum and came across this site. I am scheduled for surgery on Nov. 5th. I am so excited!!!! I'm currently on my pre op diet which consist of 2 Protein Shakes a day and a sensible dinner. It has been somewhat tough but not as bad as I thought. I can't wait to see the lbs start to come off. My pre op weight was 303. Looking to reach a goal of 175-180. Are there any other Nov. Sleevers???

Hi Judy! That's awesome we have the same date. How excited are you. I was told I could snack on almonds and Greek yogurt. For the most part it's been pretty easy to deal with.

I have not heard of that one. I will look into it. I'm from Las Vegas. How long have you been considering the surgery. It's been about a year for me. I started with lap band but as I looked more into it the sleeve seemed like a better option for me.

I am from Conroe, Texas. I started thinking about surgery since January and also I was going to do the lap band when I went to my surgeon in February he talked about all the surgery and I decide that the sleeve was better for me.

This is so exciting so glad that I found this site. I keep thinking of how much weight I'm going to lose. But sometimes I think of some of the food I won't be able to eat. I'm a big fan of wingstop and giving that up wasn't too easy but so far I'm doing great.

Hi????

I'm scheduled for November 5th in alma, Mi. Dr. Cojoe is doing my surgery out of Mid Michigan. I'm on the two liquid a day, fish, veggies, sugar free popsicles, sugar free Jello & lots of Water.

My biggest struggle has been giving up my coke. But I'm on my third week and doing fairly well. The flavored waters & ice tea help.

Congratulations to all of you & best wishes on your new journey!????????????

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
