Banded at Northwest Weight Loss (Everett)

Recommended Posts

Not very often. I know they have them once a month, and I've been to a few, but I always seem to end up with a conflict.

I WILL be banded at NWWLS hopefully in June!! :( I just went to my 2nd seminar last night w/Michaelson, my hubby came with me just in case he had any questions that I had not thought of. And he did :)

I go to NWWLS on Mon, 21st & Wed, 23rd......

I PLAN on going to the support group meeting on June 11th @ 7pm in Everett.

I live in West Seattle (Alki), so if there are any others who have or want to have a group in that area at a later date I'm all for it! :)

I am in Woodinville and was banded on Thursday 5/10. So far all is well except for the gas pains in my left shoulder which come and go. I am so excited about the band and can't wait to see the results in the months to come.

Hi Evilah,

The liquid diet is going ok for the most part. I have been mostly drinking Costco's chocolate Weightloss shakes (a Slimfast type drink), drinkable yogurt (also from Costco), and Tomato Soup simply because they are easiest. Today I had a little apple sauce which was fine. I haven't had any issues with being really hungry but am ready to start exploring more food options. You must be rally excited that your surgery is almost here. I am excited for you. Just think how different life will be this time next year. :-)

Hello, I was also banded at NWWLS. I was banded on May 9th by Dr. Montgomery. I have about 4 more days of liquids & then onto mushies. Yay!! Some mashed potatoes sound extremely good. lol

I thought about going to the group meeting on June 11th also. By that time I will be almost ready for my first fill. Congrats to everyone and good luck.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
