Seven years agoI took care of my mom through dealing with lung cancer. It was one of the hardest times in my life - I ate myself up to 320 pounds, the most I ever weighed. Be gentle with yourself Smiley. Try really hard to plan your food and don't get caught without it. Use this group as much as you need to. Hang in there.

Stuck at 206 for the last 12 days. I feel like I'm never going to be under 200lbs. 15 week and still over 200. I'm so sad and disappointed right now.

By the way. I am losing weight very, very slowly now. A pound per week. I am doing everything I'm supposed to do but I think my exercise could be a little more regular. All the school delays and days off because of snow are driving me mad. In Northern Virginia just the possibility of snow causes schools to close. Today Fairfax County closed for 1/8 of an inch of snow. WOW!

I sometimes get my entire post deleted while I type. Some of you have mentioned you had the same problem. Either I didn't see it before or it's a new function but I noticed an "auto saved" function at the bottom left. I was able to retrieve my typed message by clicking on it. Cool!

We must be on the same plan. First stalled together now losing one pound a week together. Funny thing is, I'm not sad about it at all, I'm losing and that's more than I can say before the surgery. My energy level is still up, I'm not napping all day anymore. So many blessings to be had. I love this board and this group has got me this far. Thank you, each and everyone of you.

it just shows its all normal. I went through my stall and now I'm at 1 lb a week as well. I'll be adding weight training next week and see if that ramps up losing again.

Looks like we are moving along. The early massive weight loss (57 lbs so far for me) was a great incentive. To be honest I did better then I ever thought I would. But one pound per week is good too. I'll take that. Thank you for reminding me that we are still doing much better then before surgery. Besides I think our bodies have gone through a lot and at this point slow and steady is a great approach.

A pound a week is GOOD. I'm going to Celebrate that with the fanfare it deserves. I think after such rapid early loses I got a little greedy. But I'm okay now.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
