@@amylynns omg it's crazy how much boobies change lol...I haven't gone bra shopping yet, but the bras I have, I could easily fit another boob into each cup lol. I was laying down the other day and I kept poking the cup and it would deflate haha...so bad! And I'm in the same boat with the ring thing!! Ugh, idk how many hints, or how many times I have to shove a picture of a pretty diamond in his face lol. A flower guy at a bridal show I went to recently said "oh honey, if he doesn't ask u after 2 yrs, u better run"...lol that's been stuck in my head ever since! But I won't run, it was just funny. Men!

@@Beni I totally agree about looking like frumpy potato sacks lol. Before my surgery I was all like I'm not going shopping for at least 3 or 4 months, no way blablabla....but then I started looking at myself in the mirror and I was feeling not as good as I should have about my 30lb loss since surgery. So I went to the consignment shop the other day and got a few pairs of nice form fitting pants and a sweater, I also found a pretty one in Walmart that was only $12...I had to, I was like I cannot go until feb/March in these clothes that are hanging off of me. And I feel soooo much better and so much more confident in clothes that fit me now...it's a nice feeling :)

@Beni---I was shocked at how well I liked the push up bra! The gal at the store asked if I wanted to just try one on...I was never able to wear them before because I had way too much boob to be having them all up in my face, LOL! :P

I love that you have to return your PJ's! That's awesome!! I was ordering some new yoga pants on line yesterday and by the reviews/comments on one style--I would for sure need to go down to regular sizes. Everyone said the smallest plus size ones ran big. I decided to just wait and go shopping in the store and see if I could fit into regular ones instead of ordering on line and then having to return them. I really need to do a little shopping! I went to yoga last night (yay! Finally!!) and when I bent over, my shirt was too big and slid right up. Ooops! Guess I need a more form fitting one for yoga!

One other "non-scale" victory I had was my honey and I were out shopping and he suggested we stop by the jewelry store to see what size ring I'm at now. (We've been dating for 4 1/2 years/ living together for 2 1/2---and I WANT TO BE MARRIED!) ;) So we stopped in the store and I went from a 8-9 to a 6 3/4! Which is the stock size, so I could actually try on rings and see what they're really look like on---not just to my knuckle like before.

Whoohoo! Now if he would just buy me one!!

I'm glad you brought the ring size up. I've been at a size 8 forever it seems - I only had a band since my original engagement ring was lost a long time ago. My hubs decided to size my finger and I'm exactly a 7. It was so cool to try rings on and have them actually fit. well ladies your time is coming and it'll be a forever ring bc you are never going back ???? I have to gush over my hubby of 10 years - our trip turned into an early gift to Celebrate my loss....I love these little perks of getting smaller ????

I am so glad you are all behind me on the not looking frumpy. Hello, we put our lives on the line to get healthy, we can't go around looking like potato bags. Looking great will be the boost we need to feel even better. Before we were in a downward spiral caught in a Water funnel of despair. Now let's build our tornado up to the skies and scream it from the mountain tops. Yes, we are all that!

Time to shop, lol!

You guys share such real inspiring stories! I cant wait to see my finger size decrease. I never could put on a ring in the store. Sadly, I creeped into a size. 24/26 @321. Now at 254, size 20. I have clothes in my closet I wouldn't give up, simply for the day id return to to lower sizes. I have no clothes under the size 18. So I asked family if they were going to buy me clothes, it'd be only XL

Im ready to leave the1X, and start shopping in the "normal" size. My goal is to reach 249 by Christmas. Thays my gift to myself! I'm trying to trick "the stall" by exercising more

Amylynns, I was with my husband for 7 years before we got married. It was understandable because we met so young, I was 17. After a while, I told him this is it, we are getting married. He couldn't object at that time. We married when I was 26.

I love going to stores and just trying stuff on, even if I can't buy it. It just makes me feel so much better, and it's fun to try things on now, because I can choose from so much more! I used to get so frustrated because whomever does fashion design for plus sizes, for whatever reason, must think fluffy women love glitter and sequence that's going to bring even more attention to our fluffiness!

Who else is still sad over Fashion Bug going out of business??? That was my go to for supportive bras at a reasonable price. Wahh! :(

So my body must have gotten sick of me whining because I stepped on the scale this afternoon(not my usual time) and am down 2lbs 2oz putting me under 210. This picture is for Beni, this is a men's shirt but it's a size Large! Can't beat a size large no matter which side it comes from right? I bought this shirt over the summer when the TMNT came out, it was tight then it's pretty loose now.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
