So December sleevers.... What's your daily calorie count? Mine is varied 500-mid 700's. Is that too much? Too little? I tried getting in to see nutritionist but can't get an appointment for another 3 weeks. The good news is that there is a support group at my dr on thurs. The nutritionist is going to be there so hopefully I'll get some guidance. Just wanted to see what others were eating.

I had the sleeve on Dec 3rd. I'm still having a lot of trouble keeping food in. I'm eating 300-400 calories a day... I see my surgeon tomorrow so hopefully he'll have some guidance. I'm tired of throwing up.

I was sleeved the 23rd so I may be later than you. Average is about 550-650. My nut said not to focus on that though since with the size of the stomach acts as a control. She wants me to work on getting 60 grams of Protein and 64 of Water. I'm also beginning to incorporate more veg fruit and complex carbs. Just trying to learn to balance everything with the smaller appetite.

Sleeved 12/23 and doing great! sleeping well and feeling good. No problems sipping though I do think I've burped more in the last week than the previous 62 years of my life LOL. The worst is having to crush my meds YUCK! Came home off my diabetes medications though and haven't had to restart them. Test 3 times each day and haven't hit 100 yet

Tomorrow I start puréed. Don't know that I've ever looked forward to having an egg so much!

I can completely relate to all of this...belching, crushing medicines, etc. I just started pureed foods. Had a scrambled egg with a laughing cow cheese mixed in. I *never* thought an egg would taste so good, lol!

Great news re your diabetes, @@Debbie Jean. That is huge.

Good Morning!

I hope you are enjoying your wonderful Friday! I have a question for you and please forgive me if I come off strong because it is not my intention, but I am being honest... When you decided to get this surgery, you knew that it would be a life changing process. Why deprive your body from its needs? I have a VERY BUSY schedule myself to where I can't even spend a full day with my own husband, but I make darn sure that my body is being fed what it needs between liquids and food. You do know that you can really harm your body by depriving it right? You might want to take the time out to see what lacking can cause on the body. Have you tried taking on the go Protein Shakes? I carry a bag on me all day which includes my meals, shakes, Water, etc to make sure that I have no excuse as to why I can't keep something in my system. Also download "water your body" app which is an alarm to remind you to put something in your body. Why put your body through something like that if your not "mentally" ready to put your body first before the rest of your life? Your health is number 1 everything else can wait. If you can go to the bathroom you can sit on a toilet and drink something while your using the bathroom.. Hope this helps

I am 8 weeks out and still can't eat slow, don't drink enough water and my Protein intake is low. I drink only one shake a day. I have a very busy life and cannot change my bad habits :(

If you want this surgery to be successful you can change your bad habits. Not saying it's easy but it is doable. I had a very hard time in the beginning getting in enough fluids and Protein but I worked at it every hour until it became second nature to have a drink near by. I felt so lifeless and had no energy at first. I'm nine weeks out and feel so much better. You can do this. Make it your desire to change the habits one at a time.

Drink up! ????????????????????????????????

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
