Hi Kelly, congrats on starting your journey!! I'm around the same height as you, and about 4 months post op. I've lost four dress sizes so far so the tricky part has been acquiring new clothes through swaps, thrifts and good ol fashion retail therapy. :)

Do you have any questions about what to expect? Or are you worried about anything in particular?

You go girl! That's really amazing! I went to a post op/pre op support group tonight and they answered all my questions which is great. I'm sure I will still have more along the way but I will reach out. How do you feel, how was recovery? For you personally what has been the hardest part?

Hey Kelly!

I'm Crystal...also from NY...Brooklyn to be exact. I literally decided to have WLS 3 weeks ago after 5 years of thinking about it. Met with my primary care provider today to start my 6 month diet and this Saturday I have a meeting with a weight loss surgeon.

If my calculations are correct...I should be eligible for surgery April of 2015....and thats not soon enough lol

Congrats on your December surgery date!...Keep in touch!

That's awesome! I just got a call from my surgeon today that I have been bumped up to November 22nd. I thought I had to wait longer for insurance. So you never know with them. I'm super excited for you! I can't answer any questions now cause I'm still in pre-op and have a ton of questions myself but when I'm post-op I can help out if you need. Good luck on your journey! You go girl!
