Post op surgery

I had surgery on Tuesday and I haven't had a bowel movement since Monday night. Is there anything I can take or drink that will help me out but that is also safe??

my surgeon said colace or milk of magnesia were ok to take... no idea what your surgeon recommends though.

My doctors office asked me to first increase my Water daily before trying anything, I did double what I was having and that did it. Check and see if you are meeting your daily water quota.
