Had Gastric Bypass Surgery on 9/11/14

Hello Everyone My name is Casey, I have been on my weight loss journey since April 72014. I lost 100 lbs before my surgery. I had my surgery at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore Md. My surgeon is Dr. Christopher You. I am on day 9 and everything is getting better. I had a couple times where I could not believe I did it and got a little depressed. I sometimes feel like I am never going to be able to eat normal foods again instead of liquids. One of my favorite places to eat is Chipotle, and I like the rice there. Has anyone tried to eat chipotle rice after surgery?

I am wondering the same thing! I'm on day 12 and I miss eating solid food...

You guys are funny with your Chipotle talk.

I am sure you will be able to eat some of it someday but not for a while. I can just imagine when you get to that time and you order a burrito, look at the size and burst out laughing because it will look enormous. I hope I can be the fly on the wall when you do it.

Keep us posted, you are not alone!

I'm four weeks post-op with RNY, and technically on the soft foods phase. I went to Chipotle for a burrito bowl. The rice was difficult to eat and I regret having it. It was on the "foods to avoid" list from my nut, so my bad. I'm going to wait for another month before attempting Chipotle again.
