This is confusing. I started a new Topic in the Post-surgery Bypass Forum but on the side of the pre-surgery forum on Recent Topics, it shows the new topic OCTOBER 2014. I don't get it

new topcs for any forum are posted there, confusing for sure

still puking, so now they say gatorade and Miralax. w/6 ducolax pills. kids have gone to store.

and the bit I did keep down is kicking in. Hopefully the vomiting has stopped.

@smiley922. So sorry your have to go thru that . Quite frankly I'd rather do 2 weeks of PreOp liquids like my Surgeon ordered. It's amazing how different the PreOps are for everyone.

I found your new post Beni!

So my family had taco pizza tonight. I hid out in my bedroom and spent about an hour talking to my BFF on the phone. Left over pizza was still sitting in the kitchen when I came down. I had to get it out to the garbage right away!!

Another favorite I didn't eat "before."

Best of luck gladiators, you have this.

Thank Beni & all my fellow October Surgery BP friends! My husband took me to the movies to relax, my bag is packed & I'm eating my dinner now ... Rushing before NPO @ Midnight. I will check in tomorrow at NYU Langone Med Center at 9:am sharp -my surgery is scheduled for 10:30am. I'm a little nervous but ready to be on the road to Recovery & PostOp. Wishing all the best to my fellow Gladiators. I'm asking for the patch & I have my GasX strips & a robe to cover me during my Laps around the Nurses Station. I went with Sweats to wear to and from the hospital & packed my husbands car with two pillows and a blanket for the ride home. I'm ready to Defy Gravity. & Roar! ????

Sorry have just now posted yesterday was my surgery, RNY. I'm in bed I got up to the chair last night for a couple hours. Having pain mostly on the incision site they gave me a PCA with Fentanyl. Not able to eat or drink anything until after I have an upper G.I. this morning.post-234841-1413286236801_thumb.jpg post-234841-14132862662572_thumb.jpgopost-234841-1413286345096_thumb.jpg1 drain which should come out tomorrow. One of the doctors said that I was making them laugh all the way to the OR. I don't remember that, but it's probably true.

They found a hernia and they went in and they sewed it but told me I would have to come back after I've lost some weight to have the hernia repaired completely. I have been complaining about my bellybutton hurting for the last year to my G.I. doctor to my OB guy to my regular doctor. Every time my period came around, my bellybutton hurt really really bad. Guess now we know why.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
