Day 1 Liquid Diet... Fun, but not really....

I am scheduled for my sleeve surgery on September 30th and started my liquid diet today. I am so excited, but know this will fade. :D Thoughts on how to keep up momentum and who's with me??

What are you eating on your liquid diet?? I wonder if everyone pretty much has the same lists.

I was only allowed three protein shakes a day and one green salad with calorie-free dressing per day on my pre-op diet. It was most definitely NOT fun. But two weeks after my surgery, I only WISH I could drink 3 protein shakes a day! Heh.

My doctor hasn't restricted me to the liquid diet. I just have to have a light Breakfast the day before surgery, before 9 a.m., they liquid for the rest of that day. However, in solidarity with my fellow September Sleevers, I'm doing my Protein shake in the morning, light lunch and dinner. I even managed to lose 3 lbs since my last visit to the doc. LoL!

So far I'm pleasantly surprised that a Protein Shake and a couple of hard boiled eggs can keep me feeling full for a few hours. I'm sure I'll be dying by the end of next week after my surgery, but for now, I'm good.

Mine basically started today too and I am hungry.

I can have 2-3 shakes a day and a light dinner and snack. I am ready for my dinner!

I can have 4 shakes a day...1/2 cup of oatmeal no butter, chicken broth or low fat creamed soups, low fat sugar free yogurt, sugar free jello and pudding, all the sugar free no calories drinks there is....I'm on day 2

I started mine today, although my surgeon did not require a liquid diet prior to my surgery on the 27th. I am drinking a Protein shake at breakfast and another at lunch. For dinner I can have a salad with some type of protein and fat free salad dressing (or olive oil and vinegar). I am also now completely decaffeinated, decarbonated, and alcohol free! Lots of Water and decaf iced tea.
