  1. My surgery date was 9/30/14 SW: 281 CW: 179 I am not "cured", let me start by saying that. My old eating habits are coming back. A chip there, a bit of a cookie there. I tell myself that I'll run later and I always do, but it's got me in a stall of 175-183 for about a month now. It's the first month that I've lost very little. I am incredibly proud of all I've accomplished, but am so scared of "replasing" with my food addiction. My question is this.. I have a lot of willpower when it comes to knowing I need to make a change and was very curious if anyone had tried a "pouch reset". I'm just wondering if going back as if I just had surgery would be what I needed to get over the hump. I found this website http://obesitycoverage.com/the-pouch-reset-losing-weight-after-weight-regain/ and thought maybe it would give me a boost toward my goal. I would feel much better about slipping some with my eating habits once I'm at my goal, not 30 or 40 lbs from it. One big thing I can pat myself on the back for is continuing to exercise. I typically exercise 60-75 minutes 5 to 6 days a week. I just have to get this eating thing down!!!!!!
  2. I am 6 months and 2 weeks out and I am BEYOND FRUSTRATED!!!! I think back to the days when I stalled for like 5 days and LAUGH!!! I am now on a 3 week stall. I have tried EVERYTHING. I am working out more than ever (rowing 5000 meters, running 2.5 miles daily), drinking 80+ ounces of water a day, get!!! Please tell me that it ends or give me any suggestions. I AM AT A LOSS!!!! I have lost 1 pound since March 26th.
  3. As far as my Protein intake... It usually sits around 70 to 80. I take in tons of Fluid (very aware of this daily). I typically row 5000 meters a day and run 2.5. My bodymedia band says i burn about 3000 calories a day and walk about 14,000 steps (this including the run). I am a teacher, so I'm always moving. i have now hit the 210 day streak on myfitnesspal. I have to log there or i'll go crazy... hahaha The thing I'm concerned with now, is calorie intake. i'm thinking that I'm not getting in enough. i try to stay less than 50 carbs a day and less than 25 grams of fat. I usually get 600 - 700 calories a day. i'm thinking i may need to bump it up to 800 - 900. If this doesn't work, i'll go see the doc. I still have about 45 pounds to lose. I don't want it to stop now...

    Frustrated! Need advice...

I am right there with you and posted the same thing. I have lost 89 pounds in 6 months and have been pleased until now. I guess I just keep at it. I may make an appointment with my doctor or nurse to talk. I don't want to become so frustrated that I start to slip and make choices again.
  5. So I am almost 6 months out and have endured thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year challenges, but Spring Break got me. It's the first time I've gained 2lbs. I worked out everyday, which I am proud of, but ate too freely. I didn't measure foods and snacked on my weaknesses (chips, crackers and any carb). I'm trying not to be down on myself because I've lost 80 lbs and that's what I'm focusing on. Tomorrow is a new day and I'll jump back in... Has anyone else experienced a small set back!?? One thing I will say, is I'm excited that tomorrow is a new day and I'm looking forward to my routine again.

Wondering if I'm the only one...

Mine was certainly too short... I'm sure the emotional part of this is knowing I have to work tomorrow. Hahahaha 49 days until summer, but who's counting?!

Wondering if I'm the only one...

Ok ok ok... I think one reason it was so hard to handle was because it put me back over 200. I got to celebrate ONEderland for a couple days, then BAM!!! I swore I'd never see 200 again, but I guess I set myself up for failure. Thanks for replying tho...
  8. So I am 4 months out tomorrow and have been very pleased with my progress. I have gone through a few stalls, but that's normal, right? I feel blessed in that I haven't found ONE thing my sleeve hates. That is also a curse in that I am now starting to find myself wanting to revert back to those unhealthy habits.... You know... Cheetoh here, chip there, bite of cookie, etc etc... While I know my sleeve is keeping me from eating large portions of these foods, I feel bad for even sitting down and eating a handful. I wish I had more self-control, but I love food. It's what got me in this situation in the first place. Anyone have any advice for weak emotional Patches??? Thanks
  9. I am scheduled for sept 30th... Anyone with me??
  10. While on the road?? We are on the road now and will be again at Christmas. What are your best "out to eat" places??
  11. Eat too much at a meal and start to stress about stretchibg your sleeve out?? I'm so worried about that. I love my sleeve just the way it is and I'm worried that I'll go back. I'm only 8 weeks out, so I think I'm still learning this "full" thing. Tips?! I know one for me is to slow down... It's always been a fault of mine.
  12. I was sleeved on 9/30... Lost 13 lbs during pre-op and since then I've lost 27 more. I'm down 40 lbs.

    Do you guys ever...

I just think that thanksgiving has been hard because there were so many foods I wanted to taste.
  14. TeacherMommy

    Do you guys ever...

So you guys eat 1/2 cup of food at each meal?
  15. I get 70-90 grams of protein a day and about 600-700 calories a day, but what about fat and carbs?! Also, on average how much weight do u lose a week. I'm 8 weeks out and lose 2-3 lbs a week. I feel pretty ok by that, but have had a couple stalls that are no fun. I'm just curious
  16. I'm 3 weeks post opp and doing well on my weight loss, exercising and eating right. I'm down 27 lbs from start of preop 5 weeks ago. It's not major progress, but I'm excited. My question is... I'm a teacher and a mom of a 2 1/2 year old. How in the world do I keep up with kids all day in school and then my little one at home (along with other reaponsibilities with our home)?! Does anyone have any advice or encouragement. I know caffeine is a NO, NO. I've been off it for 3 months now. HELP!!! I'm not discouraged or giving up, just wondering if anyone has any suggestions.
  17. I'm actually 7 weeks post op and went through a stall weeks 5 and 6. I posted on here what I was eating and everyone told me I was eating too little (600ish calories daily), so I up'd my caloric intake to 700-800 by adding an afternoon snack (cheese stick, yogurt, etc). I finally ended my stall after doing so, so I thought I was doing good. Then today, my surgeon told me to reduce back down to 600, that 700-800 is what I should eat around 6 months out. He told me stalls were normal (which we all know) and that increasing my intake wasn't a good idea... Today i left out my afternoon snack and I'M STARVING!!! I wish surgeons were more consistent. My is soooooo strict!!! Anyone have any ideas on this??
  18. I am week 7 post op and I've lost two pounds in tbe last two weeks!!! Very disappointed as I watch coworkers splurge and have things I'll prob never have again. On average im consuming 600-700 calories daily, workout 5 days week, per body media band I have an hour to an hour and a half of moderate exercise (teacher so I move around a lot), average 60 grams protein daily, less than 50g carbs daily... Blah blah BLAH!!! I'm trying to find non-weight victories to help motivate me through this slow patch... WHAT'S WRONG?!? Today I will try to drink water until I float away... Hahaha it's the only thing I have left to try!!! HELP!!!!!

    LONGEST. STALL. EVERRRR.

Thanks for all your input... I have been trying to add calories this week (last week I posted the same thing and was eating 500). It's crazy how most of my life I've "dieted" and so my first thoughts are.... "How and what can I cut back"??? I def like the idea of adding protein to my water/flavored water. i need to do that in the afternoons. I do drink a intex protein shake in the mornings for breakfast. it has 31 grams of protein. The rest I try to get from a meat at each meal, paired with some yogurt or cottage cheese. I have been more brave lately, trying bites of "normal things". We made tacos the other night, so I had my first corn shell. Although I only ate 1/2 of it, the "carbs" were great... haha What are some of the things you guys are pairing with your grilled/baked meats?? I haven't tried many fruits, veggies and NOTHING sweet yet.

    LONGEST. STALL. EVERRRR.

My surgeon doesn't life for me to snack. I am allowed one snack only because I go from 11:30 - 6:00 with no meal...

    LONGEST. STALL. EVERRRR.

How do you get so much protein??? I feel like I'd have to eat all day...
  22. Did surgery mess up your cycle at all?? I started my period just days after surgery although it was about 1 1/2 early. I contributed it to stress on my body.... Now I am supposed to be starting my next cycle, but I'm 4 days late. WHO KNOWS??? I hate to post such personal things on here, but I couldn't find any research on it. If it doesn't start soon, I will just call my GP. Just curious if any other women had anything similar.

    For Women Only...

I would love to be preg although it's too soon... I'm "old" and if we are going to conceive again, it needs to be soon!!! I'm not preg tho, unless something happened in the middle of the night while I was asleep... LOL
  24. Please tell me that some of you have hit a slow/stall around week 6. I can't seem to break past 248... I have gone up or down a pound for the past week. I am eating about 500 - 600 calories a day (mostly protein) and exercising about 30 mins daily. The only thing I feel like I could improve on is water intake. I am getting about 40-60 ounces. I want to cry because I have made so many "sacrifices" with food and social events, yet not seeing the rewards. HELP!!!
