A stall already?

Recommended Posts

I'm 2.5 weeks out and it seems I've already stalled. The first week I lost like 10 lbs and now my weight has barely budged in a week and a half. I thought the weight would just be melting off. Was very successful with full liquids and puréed stage...no nausea. Just starting soft foods stage. When will the weight start coming off again?!

I had one at two weeks that lasted two weeks, but things are moving along fine now. Do everything you are supposed to do and trust your tool. It will happen!

Best of luck!

@@lwprice and @@Dkiss37 If you are working out and doing weight training. You may be putting on muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat. So it could be that you are still loosing fat and gaining muscle. Measure yourself in inches lost and you will see that change that you desire. Neck, bust, waist, hips, thigh, calf, upper arm, wrist. You choose.

Don't feel bad, I'm at 3 weeks and a day and I'm UP 4lbs! I think it's due to not drinking enough Water because I only pee once a day and my ankles are swollen (so I'm retaining everything I drink). Plus, I haven't pooped since Sunday. I'm also having an issue getting Protein in, but I'm coming in under 400 calories a day, so it's mathematically impossible that those 4 pounds are fat.

So today is all about drinking. I'm sure my 4lbs will be gone in a couple days, it's just so frustrating when you aren't eating and still feel so weak.

angel, everything you shared here worries me. First you must drink your Water. I cannot tell you how important it is. I know from experience and learned the hard way. Right after my surgery I became dehydrated because I did not get in the required water. This caused severe Constipation. My dr suggested something stronger then just Benifiber. I took Dulcolax. She also prescribed that I have an ennema (fun ????). Well, this was successful as far as the constipation issue, but I became severely dehydrated because of all the loss in fluids. Ended up in the hospital ER with an IV drip.

400 calories is not enough! Your body needs more then that to function. You need to be concerned with malnutrition. Get in your Protein requirements and it will help with your weakness.

Keep with the program and get in your water and protein and you will see progress in your weight loss. A lot of us have complained about stalls, etc only to find out a few more calories and a bit of exercise moved us back into the weight loss stage.

Jjinwa-agreed! I'm working on it. I couldn't stand the "milky" shakes, so I bought the Isopure ones yesterday. I don't really like them, but they don't give me the phlegm feeling.

I'm four weeks out an have stalled for the past two weeks no gain but no loss..I walk everyday drink my Water an get in one 30gm Protein Shake an then able to eat some lean shaved deli turkey an have 1tbsp of Peanut Butter for lunch an 1/4 cup edamomba Beans to get in the rest of Protein due to lactose intolerance causing chronic diarrhea. I have great diet tolerance of food. This scares me due to I can tolerate mire than they said I would. I didn't put myself thr this for only 24lbs.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
