Hello all

I was just wondering if any of you have smaller feet after losing a significant amount of weight?

I am just getting started, I am down 50 lbs from my heaviest weight and I can say that my shoes are definitely fitting better these days. Previously my shoes would be tight across the top of my foot, and cute little flats gave me muffin top of the foot. They are much cuter now :-D

I've lost 120 pounds and now weigh 118. My feet were 9w. Now they are a... 9. WTH? My daughter summed it up for me when she came over last time when she looked at my feet and said "Mom, you lost so much weight but you still have GIANT HOBBIT FEET!!!". Don't be jealous, girls, she'll ALL mine!! Lol

Thanks to her I can't help but think of my feet as Hobbit feet now... :-p

I was just noticing that this morning when I put on some lace up shoes. They used to be tight in a size 8, and now they are so big. I had to go from an 8w to a 7 regular.

Yes, I can sometimes fit in a 9.5. I used to always have to buy a 10.

I haven't lost as much as most, but I can say that slingback shoes without the buckle strap are annoying. The sling slides down my heal often, plus some of my other shoes are swimming on my foot. I have taken a pair to the shoe repair to have them adjusted. Love needing to do that, but don't like thinking about buying new shoes.

Yes for sure I have noticed that too. Strange I never thought I had fat feet before-but now they just look so much more slender!

Yes!!!! So bitter that I had to get rid if all my shoes!!! I love shoes! I wore anything from a 10 to an 11; now, I wear anything from a 9 to a 10. The tens I did have were too wide, so I had to chunk then too :( . But, I'll take it because it symbolizes that I'm not that big girl anymore!

Started at 12w. Now 12 m. So no, my feet are still huge and I am not tall. Runs in my mothers family with the males and me. My brothers have 9's. Lucky them.

Wow, after reading all of the responses I wonder if this is a male/female thing.

I've lost 185 pounds so far and while me feet LOOK skinnier than they used to, I still wear the same 15 EEE that I have for the last 20+ years.

Minus 130 pounds, I'm still in size 11 shoes but no longer need extra wide, perhaps not even wide.

Have a pair of maryjane style with Velcro fastener. The strap is so long now across my ankle, it is bizarre.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
