Are yall added ice with the Protein Shakes. To make like a smoothie? I haven't had my surgery yet and these shakes taste so nasty unless I make it like a smoothie. Do yall think it will be ok to drink it cold like a smoothie after surgery.

I haven't had my surgery yet but have read some people like really cold but sometimes it hurts so room temp is best. Guess we will all find out after we are sleeved eh?

I had my surgery Sep 4th and I haven't had any problems with iced liquids. I waited a couple days before trying, but I really love the ice. All of the different Protein shakes I bought before surgery were pretty good. Now they are all a struggle to drink.

Did you get the headaches from the shakes? If so, how long did they last. I am two for two so far.

The struggle is REAL! This is day 7 of full liquids for me. I wish I could have some Protein to chew. Lol...I just keep telling myself just 7 more days to go. We've got this!

What brand of shakes is everyone drinking? I am trying different flavors and different brands, but they all taste nasty to me. Some it's the taste and some it's the smell. I wonder if, instead of shakes, we can eat Meal Replacement bars? Anybody try that? I have to be on 2 shakes a day and small meal for dinner for 2 weeks. I ate an Atkins meal replacement bar for lunch today and it was actually good! I am 2 days in, have had horrible headaches both days and don't know how I am going to get through the next 12 days. Any thoughts would be appreciated ;)

I drink a variety of shakes. My favorites are Muscle Milk, Oh Yeah, Slim Fast Protein, Raw vanilla, and Pure Protein.

I use Premier Protein. Purchased at sams or costco. They have 30 grams of Protein. This is the easiest way for me to get the required amount.

I'm sensitive to any of the stuff that has artificial sweeteners. Get severe headaches suck to stomach. I have been able to tolerate products with stevia but they are harder to find

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
