@@Ethomas15, I LOVE that you called this a tool. About 3 years ago I started going to Celebrate Recovery (a 12 step program) and started to really explore my relationship with food. Last year I added personal, one on one counseling to help me work through my food addiction. At some point we began to discuss WLS as a tool and I was pretty skeptical/ scared. I've really worked hard to get to the core of my issues and to make some changes. Now that I'm working toward having RNY surgery, I have conflicting feelings about AFTER surgery.

I know how hard the "process" can be, but I also know there is something so rewarding about seeing change, little by little, in a positive direction. You're going to do great! I can't wait to co-stalk you as we head out on this journey together!

For sure!

I just had my bypass 2 days ago. It's not painless, I have been very sore. I haven't been hungry at all. I have felt thirsty and I just wish I could guzzle my water down but I know I can't. Don't be scared. So far I am VERY happy that I have done this. I am also down 4 lbs since my surgery on Tuesday. Feel free to ask me any questions. Good luck!
