week 2 full liquids, how do I get 80 gms protein

Just found this forum, first post. Banded a week ago, moving from Clear liquids to full liquid diet. Dr. advised full liquid for two weeks and wants 80 grams of Protein a day. i tried the strained low fat cream of chicken Soup and added a scoop of GNC whey protein. What an awful mess, was like glue and just unpalatable. Needless to say my dogs loved it! Any suggestions on getting the protein with the small 1/4 cup size portions needed during this full liquid phase. Thanks for any advise

You can get your Protein through shakes. Premier shakes are 30 grm per serving. Maybe 2 or 3 shakes a day?

During that time I drank shakes. I didn't really have an appitite so that helped.

I lived on shakes and had the soups as snacks. There's really no other way to do it without everything being nasty.

I did 4 slimfast high protein shakes a day plus at night I was allowed to have 1 cup of soft cooked veggies. I was getting in about 80 grams of protein a day.

Thanks for the help. Finally was able to speak with my doc and they told me to ignore the 1/4 cup information that was on their published diet. So now I can do the shakes, 2-3 premier shakes a day will get me the needed Protein. Best of all I can avoid that yuk that I was getting with the powder protein.
