I rode my daughter's bike yesterday! The knee pain was less than it was a few months ago. I can do this! I'm so excited. I'll be borrowing her bike this fall when she goes back to college soon. Woo hoo!

As an added pick-me-up yesterday, MyFitnessPal said if every day was like today, in five weeks I would weigh 198 pounds. Onederland is coming! Have I mentioned that I love my band?

Yippee! This is great.......have fun. Here's to really living our lives! I have a basket to put on my bike but haven't figured out how to secure it on there yet so it's kicking around the house. Every time I see it I smile. There's something so youthful and freeing about a bike. You have inspired me to ride mine today -- and I already did. A four mile walk this morning in under an hour. Who are these women? Yippee!

just the thought of wind blowing through my thinning hair sounds wonderful. I am having knee surgery on the 25th. I have been looking at bikes as a form of exercise as I rehab. good job.

I am so in love with my bike!!!! I miss it when I am not riding it. I think of it fondly :) It's a great way to exercise and release any pent up energy. That rush of the wind through your hair. The carefree feeling of just speeding along a trail...OK...gotta get on the bike this weekend :)

I had stopped riding my bike in the last few years. I will enjoy it again one day!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
