I have come to discover that there are a lot of us Southern Marylanders here.....all of whom have to travel out of our comfort zone, and up into DC or Northern VA for LapBand stuff. How funny! I was just about to reply to one of your postings in the Protein Shakes thread (b/c I saw you went to Dr. Halmi/Tran)...then I saw this thread. I am from Southern MD (Lexington Park). I just had my first consultation today w/Dr. Halmi. I am so excited!!!!

My friend just had intake with Dr. Tran today. We really ARE gonna need to plan a big gathering here in SO MD! So far, I have found 6 of us! Woo hoo! Please keep me posted on your status, and let me know if you have any questions about Halmi/Tran. They have been good to me so far!

I think that's a great idea! I will certainly keep you posted. I can't really believe that this is actually gonna happen!!! I am sooo ready for a lifestyle change. Who did your surgery - Halmi or Tran? Like I said, I met w/Halmi today and he seemed rather reserved. He answered all of my questions and the lady at the front desk was very nice to me...so I am feeling pretty good about this.
