blood clots in the past...my biggest worry about the surgery!

I have a history of blood clots in my right leg d/t a car accident in 2006. I take Coumadin every day and will be bridging with Lovenox injections starting 5 days prior to my gastric sleeve surgery on 8/27. I'm so excited for the surgery but also very hesitant d/t my previous history! Anybody out there who had blood clots previous to having the surgery care to share your experience? I am a nurse and I know all the do's and don'ts but would still love to hear from someone post-op that was in the same situation!! Thank you!!!

Hi ade! I had bilateral pulmonary emboli 2 years ago and am on the coumadin train as well. I bridged with the lovenox and it was no sweat. I had no issues what so ever! I'm sure you will do great!
