anyone else (with rny) able to take omaprezole DR capsules?

That's what my bariatric surgeon is telling me to take, just like I did prior to surgery, but I am not even going to attempt to take one. It's too big. Plus it's time released which didn't make sense to me. It's not even going to be in there long enough to have any effect. My husband who got sleeved on Friday (I got rny on Friday too) was prescribed the omaprezole DR too. Don't know if it would work better for him or not. At least he can swallow it. I'm still having trouble with tiny sips of anything.
I got protonix granules instead from my family dr.
I'm pretty ticked at my surgeon and nurses for not having all my meds revised post op, among other reasons. This surgery has been pretty crappy. I feel like a number or our drs paycheck.
