Did you have an esophageal motility test?

I'm very excited because my insurance has approved the band for me! I've completed several of the pre-op tests, but I have to do the esophageal motility test next week. Is it hard to "not gag" when they put the tube down your throat? I look forward to sharing my experiences here. Reading all of your responses has helped me know I'm making the right decision! Thanks everyone!

This was horrible...the worst part of the whole thing. Bring someone with you. They went down my throat, I know some doctors do thru your nose. They were training a nurse...and had my with the tube down my throat for an HOUR. I was gagging the whole time. I really wonder how needed this test is for people with no symptoms of esph. problems.

That said, I would go thru that everyday to be thin like I am now (thin for me anyway).
