Chrissy72w! We're tomorrow!

We got ghis! Are you prepared? House clean? Bag packed?

I have two toddlers so my house is never really clean, LOL. But it's as good as it's going to get. My bag isn't packed but I'm only bringing a robe, fresh undies, chapstick, tooth brush and paste. And maybe a book. I just want this day to speed by.

And for those of you who said that their minds have been clearer, I have the same feeling. Maybe it's because all the gluten is out of me?

Enlightened1....are you all packed? AHHHH......I'm so nervous!!!!!!

All packed Chrissy! I don't have little ones at home so I have it easier than you. If you lived closer I'd come clean your house for you :)

I've been nesting all weekend. Laundry, scrubbing floors, changing linens etc...can you believe it's tomorrow??

I just want to say how inspiring all of your stories are. It is so nice to know that we are all in this together. Most of us are experiencing the same emotions and that makes me feel more normal. I don't feel like I'm the only one and that's real nice. :) Praise God for this awesome opportunity for a new and improved life, a healthy life.

My surgery is the day after tomorrow, August 6th. I've been through a six month program, and am in week 2 of my liquid pre-op diet. I keep reading about people who have done the surgery only to gain the weight back, the vicious cycle we all know too well. Am I doing the right thing...having the surgery? I've never been under anesthesia before and I'm terrified, don't want to chicken out, have been very dedicated to this plan but as it grows closer I'm having crippling fear of the actual surgery. Please tell me it's worth the risks!

I know wat u mean I am also having the fear. But I don't want to cheat myself and then years down the line I have regrets. I really want to stay true to myself and do wats best for me. I have a supporting husband and he stands by my decision. All I can say is pray about it, The Lord will let u find peace with whatever decision u make.

Tylenol is just a name brand of acetaminophen. The CVS brand will do just as well. Glad you found it!

LaceGirl, we are the same day! From what I have read, the majority of the ones who have gained weight back had had the Lapband. A lot of them had a second surgery to have the sleeve done. I'm glad we are going straight with the sleeve! I've had my second thoughts too, but then I know that if I could lose the weight another way I would have already done that. I'm so looking forward of not only loosing the weight, but loosing the diabetes, the CPAP, the sore joints, hypertension, the sweating, ... I could go on and on. What I'm going to gain makes it even more worth it to me, the energy, the confidence, the shock on some faces, the new stores I always wanted to shop at, least of all, the years I'm adding on to be with my family for as long as God will allow. Is it worth the risks? It is for me.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
