I got sleeved on June 9th. I was home for 2 weeks and this is my first week back at work. So far everything has been going well. I am trying to get all my fluids and Protein in and typically do. I was at work today and got really dizzy and almost fainted. Has this happened to anyone? Is it common? I know my body is still getting used to the cut in calories etc. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Whenever I experienced dizzines it was from dehydration. If you are on your feet a lot it could be from activity level vs calorie intake or too little fluids. If it happens again you might want to call your doctor's office and let them know. Good luck!

I had dizziness for a while, mainly when I bent over and stood up quickly. When my caloric intake was low i would get lightheaded a bit. Usually, eating some yogurt or downing a Protein drink and sitting down for 10-30 mins made it subside. It passes with your ability to take in more food. Hang tough!

I had dizziness due to dehydration, but when it was really bad and sudden the way you are describing it was due to my blood pressure medication. About 3 weeks after surgery I was down almost 50 lbs(including 3 week pre-op diet...full liquid). Turns out my BP improved so much after that amount of weight loss, I needed to get the medication lowered. Saw the doc the next day and stopped one of the meds. no more dizziness.

I had same symptoms and didn't recognize low blood pressure and symptoms gone when I got off of my bp med. Pretty cool to start seeing my health being restored.

I have to take midorine in order to keep my bp up. It started dropping a few months after surgery and continued to get worse. I also think that I was so severely out of shape from being so overweight that I have a tremendous metabolic changeover to take place.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
