Surgery in 2 weeks! ☺️

I'm a newcomer! I have been reading some of the posts about people having to be on liquids for 2 weeks pre-op..but my surgeon doesn't do that..wonder why. I do follow a 2 week pre-op diet consisting of mostly fruits, veggies and protein, and I've started that..going well so far.

Having my sleeve in 2 weeks..any great must haves for after surgery? Helpful tips? Thanks! -Ashley

Lip balm! Some people bring a small pillow, it's nice to have for the ride home( put it between seat belt and belly). Something easy to put on when your are discharged... I brought a sports bra and maxi dress( no waist line to rub the incisions) don't forget a charger for your electronics( bring an extra long one if you have it) pre op diets- each doctor does their own thing. I had a two week liquid diet and I think that was harder than my recovery after surgery. My pain has been manageable. Get up and walk as soon as possible!

Best wishes on your surgery, I am 9 days post op with no regrets!

Thank you for the advice!! Yeah I can't imagine having to do a pre-op liquid diet for 2 weeks! I'm so glad you have no regrets..I've heard some discouraging things reading some of these threads so I'm happy to hear you are having a positive experience :)
