Did anyone else's doc put them on Actigall for gallbladder?

I see a lot of you guys had to have your gallbladders removed after surgery and I'm just wondering if any of you were prescribed this med I'm on. I have to take if for 6 months post op to keep from having issues with my gallbladder. Anyone else on this and still had gallbladder issues?

I'm on it, mainly at my request because both my mom and sister had to have their gallbladder's out. Neither one of them were obese when it happened. I would be sick if I had to have mine out when there was something I could have taken to prevent it. So far, so good.

My surgeon prescribes it to all patients who haven't already had their gallbladder removed. I had already had mine out so didn't take it.
