It's the little things that ARE SO big!

I was sleeved one month ago today and am down 35lbs. Yeah!

Even more exciting are the little things like soaking in the bathtub and not having my hips touch both sides, having to adjust the seat in my car because I couldn't touch the pedals, being able to wrap a towel around my body without a big gap or having to use 2!

Anyone else have any "little / big" celebrations?

There are way too many things to name for all of us here, but very happy for you. I think the best thing for me is I am no longer gasping for breath when I come home from grocery shopping, and I do not have horrible folds in my ankles anymore from the diabetes/HBP/swelling/fat.

Yay, a.conners!! What you're describing are things we sleevers refer to as 'nsv's (non-scale victories). search the page for NSV inspiration :) Some of my first included also not having to adjust my seat or steering wheel so my thighs didn't touch the wheel, being able to bend over and tie my shoes without feeling like I was going to die of suffocation, and being able to walk a flight of stairs without sweating and panting. There are far too many to list in one post, but NSV's are a big part of your surgery vicotry! Welcome to the losers bench!

Yes!! I put on and wore in public my first 2x shirt (down from a 4x) AND I had to move my seat up in my car!! Oh and I went to see a movie the other night....the chair was sooo comfortable! :))

A little thing.....My husband has clothes from XL to 4X. Boxed and labled for 40 years as he went up and down in weight, starvation and feasting. He gave me 3 boxes of 3X to donate. That is a milestone in my house. He is a serious hoarder. He has lost 90 lbs and he knows it is permanent. I could dance and sing with joy!
